How are Felton and Deron Williams not on that list? Just because we have Marbury doesn't mean we can pass on the best available player. If either one fall to us at 8 I would be thrilled to have them. They are two way players who know how to lead a team. They won in college. Felton is unbelievable with the ball and really gets into the guy on defense. Deron Williams is one of the best defenders I have ever seen -- he shut down everybody he played against this tournament from Salim Stoudamire even to McCants in the second half of the final game (mccants didn't score a point in the second half when Deron was switched to him). Deron reminds me of Artest (he's jacked and plays physical, tough defense). However, this kids as sharp as they come and won't get into any of the trouble Artest has gotten into.

We put Deron in the same backcourt as Marbury and I guarentee we are in the playoffs next year. We add the perimeter defense that will help us win the close games and we add a toughness that is only really seen in KT and Malik Rose.

It also opens up the door to trade Marbury.

Felton will likely be there. I don't think there's a chance we take him at 8.

Deron Williams, sure, because he can easily be a combo guard.

you make some good points but we need size we can't afford to be shorter at every single position. Obvisiously Deron's defense off the bench would make us better but we had Frank Williams and didn't play him.

We need a lot more than just defense in the backcourt which Ariza might provide from the SF spot like Spree used to. Primarily we need a frontcourt player in the worst way if we're going to get back into the playoff picture.

Now if we trade Marbury than I wouldn't mind drafting Felton but I would still go big and play Crawford at PG. People tend to forget he is a PG not a SG.

Until we trsde Marbury I want nothing to do with taking a PG with our lottery pick. getting a guy like Nate or Ewing later on is a different story. Why waste a lottery pick on a PG when we already have 2 and have no frontcourt players. By that I mean our PFs and Centers are a disgrace!

Although I would hope otherwise, you're probably right that there is no shot we take Felton. However, he's going to be special in this league. I would'nt be surprised if he's the best player out of this draft. I've seen every single one of his games the past two years -- all the home games in person and he is as tough as they come. He was the leader of the UNC team, never got into any trouble, and improved all aspects of his game from year to year.

Aside from his speed with the ball and defensive ability, his most impressive attribute is the fact that he never gets tired. He will sprint up and down the court for 10 possesions in a row and still have the energy to put a one man press on.

In the right situation, I would say he's rookie of the year. I wouldn't be shocked to see Utah take him at 4. Even though i think they're going with Deron, if Felton plays better in workouts I could see him going there. If Lakers steal him, he'd be the perfect pg next to Kobe. In Utah or LA Felton is rookie of the year in my opinion.

A lot of people have forgotten about felton, another thing besides everthing else good mentioned about felton is that he plays with a chip on his shoulder, he is not going to be outplayed by anyone else on that floor, that is his mindset, I love that, we need that! but as someone mentioned, no need taking another PG when we have glaring holes elsewhere... and marbury at the point..

TKF- he is the most can't miss in our draftable vicinity. Its a damn shame he wouldn't start. I love his game and moxy. He would be a garden favorite. At this point I would be very open to trading Steph (for a young player, expiring contract and multiple 1's) just to give this guy a shot. SIgh..

Well probably be looking at Taft, Granger, Vasquez, Bynum, and Wright with our pick. The PG's are good this year.. hopefully we can get some for depth later.

the only priority I see is to infuse this team with young players at any and every position.

What ever happened to "Fat" May? He was the flava of the month in April, some thought we should take him!

Felton is a 15 type pick.

not us lol

but Felton is good though. he should go in the lottery. I just don't think he's as good as people think. If he was he'd be rated higher. Totally not worth drafting another PG when we have 2 already in Steph and Crawford

I agree with your list for the most part but I would like to add that I feel that all those guys better have impressive workouts including Bogut, Williams, and Green. I tired of giving guys props for something they accomplished in college or overseas without really running them through the gambit. As far as I am concern I would be trouble if the Knicks make their first selection and don't take a talented big man unless it was Green (because of his upside and his respectable height).
