Did anyone else really enjoy this series? It's tough to beat the trio of Ginobili/Dencan/Parker for basketball entertainment. Ginobili is a marvel to watch right now, his game is like an extension of Starks' and Sprewell's, all energy, brazeness, constantly on the border of being out of control and somehow pulling it off. Duncan as always is such a trip out there, he just calmly hangs out and hangs out, deons't sweat it, and then manages to do absolutely everyting that's needed to be done to win the tgame. How about those last 2 plays - GInobili's drive and dish to Duncan who was ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE LANE for the winning basket with 0.5 seconds left, then Ray JUST missing a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer???? Man was I wishing for that basket to go in.

Other interesting notes on this series - Fortson is such a brutish player I don't understand why Seattle didn't have him take Bowen out. In the old days of the NBA this would have been done immediately after Bowen injured Ray Allen.

Luke Ridnour showed a lot in this series. i think he's going to develop into anoher Tony Parker.

I don't like Collison's game. If he's not free for a dunk he has nothing else to show.

San ANtoinio should play Devin Brown more. I couldn't quite pick up if he's injured or not.

I loved it when they showed Jack Sikma - he's still the strangest-looking human being on the planet, maybe more so as he ages.

Fun series.

I was talking to my friend yesterday, who happens to be nyk4ever, about how much we miss those Knicks/Heat style teams with the dominant center.

I always root for the team with the great big man like duncan and shaq and I truly feel no one but maybe detroit can beat then. I think detroit showed that they won beat miami this year after struggling to beat an albeit fiesty Pacers team. Miani is coasting!

is it just me or does it look like Ginobili & Parker (to a lesser extent) travel on about every drive to the hoop?

It's not just you. it's all over the game. I was watching last night saying - walk - walk - walk - after every other play.

Is it just me, but San Antonio and Detroit appear to be the best defensive teams in the league???

Obi-Won-Ginobili!

contrary to popular belief, Euros go to the basket! IF no shot, they kick it out to a fella that can shoot! Novel Idea really.

What this series showed is Isiah should have held onto his assets, expiring contracts of harrington, nazy, mutumbo, frank williams, and got more than Jamaal Crawford....

Antonio Daniels is twice the player and is actually a combo guard with big size that may be there for the mid-level, but we can't get him now.....and his defense isn't bad either

Nazy wasn't part of the Crawford deal. If he should have gotten more than Crawford for Mutombo, Harrington, and Frank, then list some players that he should have gotten. He could have tried to use those players in a sign and trade for either Stephen Jackson or Q-Rich, but I don't think either team would have done that. I think Jamal probably was the best available young player with upside available for just those small expiring contracts.

With all the teams that called up and begged to get Mutombo, Harrington & Frank W, its a wonder IT didn't do better.

Obviously we are talking about mid-season trades not offseason trades.....

I am not going to mention people because mid-season is when you can get a player for a contract dump, instead of adding and taking back salary just for the sake of making a trade or aquiring a late first round pick....

Antonio Daniels is a good player. He definitely isn't twice the player Crawford is. He is a career backup who is 29 and is has peaked statistically at 11 and 4 off the bench. THis season was his first and only time he has averaged double digits. Don't get me wrong, 11 & 4 are good numbers off the bench and he is a good role player, but isn't much else.

Crawford will be a star at 29, Daniels is already as good as he is gonna get. There really is no comparison, lets not get out of hand with Antonio Daniels. BTW I liked him when SA had him and he was doing a great job at guarding Kobe, to no avail.

unless Crawford becomes a better starting point guard or puts on weight and suddenly plays SOME defense he will be a career backup combo guard too

Perhaps, but still better than Daniels. He put on 8 pounds of muscle over this season. He'll be a beast next season I'm sure of it. I believe.

I like Craw...but I think he is a PG - in fact I thnk he and Marbury cant coexist. One of them has to go....

I do like them both but they are not a good combo unless one changes their game.
