this is a guy who i have seen play a few times over the years, hes a 7-2 PF/C from Serbia Montenegro who plays for Partizan. He has been hurt and played not up to expectations for the last , oh year or so, but has really come on strong with his play FG% and blocks especially. this is a 7-2 player who, unlike most of the euros, plays inside and doesnt shoot 3 balls. he just turned 20. hes not that tough, but he is a skilled 7-2 with a nice touch and has gained wiehgt--up to 245 now. This is a guy who we would want to bring in and look at, especially the game tapes of th last month or so, where he has been one of the better euro players in general, for example a 23 point 8 rebound 4 block performance last week in 26 minutes. I didnt know he was coming into the draft, but one we should bring in for sure.

maybe in this type of draft he could fall to 35-40, but I would say in nor naml drafts 20-30 for sure. does he have a chance at top 30? he is 7-2 245 and 20 years old with a nice touch

here are his numbers this year in a pretty good league[adriatic]

http://goodyear.adriaticbasket.com/igraci.php?id=552

13 points 4.5 reb 1.5 steals 1.2 blocks shooting 52% in only 24 minutes

one nice thing you notice 0 3 pt shots attempted in any games

His stock has dropped a bit from 2003 when he was first eligible. He's definitley worth a look. No superstar, but could be a serviciable big.

I could see this developing like a Nenad Krstic situation where he stays in Europe for a year or two and then comes over. That's the type of pick you can make with #30, you have the guy's rights for 4 years if he's a first rounder, and you don't need to make a roster spot for him year 1. It creates flexibilty.

you know who the guy reminds me of, brezec. i think indiana is kicking themselves for not giving him an opportunity to succeed[who looks better next to Oneal Brezec or Dale Davis?] but the bottom line is we would have to make him work hard and be patient with him as well. thats the case with almost ANy C in this draft.

One of my coworkers went to Binghamton and knows the guy. I remember he was talking about him once. I don't remember too many of the details but I remember he said that he didn't have a great vertical, but at that height, the guy didn't need it. I'll try to get some more info, but from what I've gathered, he seems like a late second rounder, at best.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Kosta Perovic would be a nice pick up for the KNicks at 30th pick if available. I think he and Nenad Kristic are very similar in their play. Would be a very nice pick up. Kosta was a very high positioned pick in the the year Sweetney came out and last year dropped due to injuries. But this year he is entering and would be a very smart move on the KNicks part to pick him up. The three players I am hoping the kNicks pick this year or have a chance at are Petro, Perovic and Villanueva. I really like Villaneueva as he reminds me of Rasheed Wallace and Cliff Robinson. Another player I have high hopes for very nice player to have. I really think he might be able to play the 3 in the NBA. My goal would be to somehow get all three and have a team that is long and athletic.
