Top 8 picks look good. Taft seems too low in the order, and I though I read Tiago Splitter will pull out of the draft if not a top ten pick.

I dont know. I don't see the Knicks passing on Taft AND Bynum if both available. I also don't see Paul going any lower then pick 4 at Utah, I'm pretty sure that either Charlotte or Atlanta would take him at 2 or 3 as well. If Seattle manages to pickup Warrick that low in the draft they should be EXTREMELY happy with their draft day no matter how else their picks go.

I would hope the Knicks don't pass on Bynum if he's there, but I will reserve judgement on Granger if he's IT's guy.

Warrick looks too low, Jack a little to high, Other than that good work Briggs

I don't see Milwaukee going with another small pt guard seeing as how they are still waiting on the kid who hurt his neck to come back. What the heck would they do with both of them?

Warrick is too low. Not that i believe everything Chad Ford says but he has Warrick eventually ending up between 5 and late lottery. 5 may be a little high, but he should go anywhere between us at 8 and new jersey at 15 at latest.

BRIGGS, you change your position every week...last week you wanted the Knicks to take Bynum...the week before you wanted them to grab Splitter...the flavor of the week is Granger now? or is this just how you see the draft going from your point of view?

I do want to take Bynum, do you think the Knicks will? NO! If was projecting what I want Id put us in position 1 and take Bogut. Hey we still have 12.5% chance to get top 3! I tell you what, on draft night, the fans would probably go crazy if they picked Bynum-anyone who has gone there probably knows that, probably Taft as well. After that, most of these frikin fans dont know who anyone is! telling the fans we want to really go for it, roll the dice while to see if this kid can be a frnahcise caliber player in 2-3 years while we play with what we have! isiah spent a LOT of money already, just tweak the vet team and build a core underneath. This isnt fred weiss! The reality is the will do EVERYTHING in their power to trade this pick, you know it!

If the goal is to win both now and in the long-term, I'd like to see Isiah take a gamble on young players with huge upside but also get some more established players. I think getting Bynum and then getting pick 17 plus Rose for TT serves both goals. Bynum and the player taken at 17 can make a huge difference in the long-term, while replacing TT's 12 PPG with Rose's 18 PPG would make a difference in short-term. That's rebuilding (or building if you prefer to call it that) without getting worse before you get better.

I agree with you, Bonn, about Bynum. I am pretty set on him. If not him, then either Granger or Webster (I'm thinking realistically.) However, I don't think we need to take pick 17 with Rose, b/c we can probably BUY pick 19 from Memphis for 3 mm. Isiah should be blowing his load over that pick as we speak. If Hakim Warrick is available by pick 19, then that would be sweet.

If the goal is to win now and long term, the Knicks will continue to spin their wheels forever, and they won't draft Bynum. I hope Isiah shows me something.

That was just a rumor. I don't think it's true. But if it is true, then it depends on your goal. Our solely concerned about the long-term (in which case you'd probably go for the 19 pick from Memphis and start Ariza at SF or Warrick if we draft him @ 19) or do you want to win in the long-term and win now as well (in which case you make sure Ariza gets a lot playing time but you get 1 or 2 years out of a pretty good player in Rose). Either approach is fine with me as long as you have a GM making intelligent moves, but it certainly looks like the Knicks are taking the latter (trying to win both now and in the long-term) not the former approach.

Doubtful Memphis would do that, despite "ace reporter" Peter Vescey reporting the rumor. The Knicks will probably end of drafting where they are now.
