looks like he isnt going anywhere wuthout nice compensation. they have him by the blls a bit, because with MLE length set to drop, it wouldnt be a big deal to match any offer. So it will cost a team either
by overpaying
or via compensation in a S+T

Some who said he could be signed for just the LLE or even the MLE are dreaming. The Wizards have no intention of bringing him back but aren't going to give him away either. This is just a move to show he has value to them, and you are right a team signing him may have to overpay a bit.

Is it guaranteed that the MLE length will drop, or are you predicting based on rumors that it will?

the owners want it cut down to 3 with no incremental raises, so I would suspect that a mediated deal would come out to something like 4-5 years 5 mm per flat.

Come on now Bonn3P0 - quit acting like a gay robot, you know the CBA hasn't been set yet. So why are you even asking that question? Of course he's predicting it based on rumors.

I really don't like to be called a gay robot. I prefer to be called a snitty gay robot. I thought I made this clear in the previous thread!

I think this is a chess move, trying to keep kwame's value high. He must realize Kwame will never play well for them and the relationship is permanently damaged at this point. They just don't wanna lose him for nothing. I don't think they have him by the balls, I think they see him as a trade asset whose overall value to them plummeted and this is their attempt to raise that value somewhat.

I guess. His trade value would be higher, though, if they hadn't suspended him and had just benched him or played him only 5 mpg. Another possibility I was thinking of was that they do want to re-sign him and chose to suspend him rather than ignore the missed practice because they thought it would drive down his value and they could re-sign him more cheaply. I don't think a team would jeapordize its chances to win playoff games just to drive down a player's value, though.

We are resorted to drooling over a gazy like player.

I know Bonn3p0 is hard for this young buck, but we gotta get with stronger character players.

Bonnie, you need ot change your post name to Snittygayrobot.

What is bonn1997 anyway?

I wasn't saying the suspension was the chess move, I was saying the public position they took after the playoffs were already over was.

I know you weren't saying that. I was just saying that the thought had crossed *my* mind, but that it probably wasn't a chess move.

I want Kwame only if the cost is low. I would not give up our lottery pick, Marbury, Crawford, Ariza, or an expiring contract for Kwame.

Bonn1997 refers to my 1997 Pontiac Bonneville. Not having a gf for a while (my situation when I picked the name) can cause a guy to love his car. Not only did I have no gf, I didn't even have an toy gay robots either!

Apparently the NBA Deputy Commission called off meetings with the players' union because the union refused to have any decrease in the length of contracts. The union may be just bluffing, but I could see this being a huge issue--maybe even the biggest issue--for the players.

They obviously aren't bringing him back, this was just their way of letting the rest of the NBA know they're going to have to sign and trade for him. Kurt for Kwame, the kid's worth the risk. Everybody rememeber the Oakley for Camby trade? I was mad at first, but eventually I was proudly watching him help us get to the NBA Finals, East Finals the next year, and wearing one of his jerseys.

ME TOO!! I was soooo mad, but it actually was a really foward thinking trade.
