a great player and is starting for the spurs.

If this is any indication of his true value, then we had 5 pf's BEFORE the trades. Nazr, JYD, Sweets, Kurt and Vin Baker.

So, we traded a power forward for a power forward and draft picks.

Put Kurt next to Duncan, and they win it all for sure. Nazr may be an impediment. I'll take Mo T OR Rose over him any day.

Sorry...just wanted to put that out there, I know that the reason those trades are thought of as sucky is because we gave up tradeable assets...but what about shtty assets players?

you mean like mo?

nazr is a hard worker and did what was asked of him here. i had no problems with him b/c it was a talent question and he had a reasonable contract. he had a GREAT december and now he's playing well next to duncan. good for him.

if you'd rather have mo for 2 more years at $20 mil then that's your prerogative.

and as nazr wins a ring with duncan, we have another redundant undersized OLD PF with 3 more years on the deal, and two late #1's that'll be packaged in isiah's next GREAT trade.

Nazy's a nice role player. I like him a lot, but he'll never be more than a nice role player or a significantly flawed starter. If you have two chances (i.e., two picks) to draft a player like Josh Howard, I think that's better than having Nazy. It's a gamble, though. If the two draft picks turn out to be nothing good, you lost a decent role player in Nazy.

All i am saying is that nazr is just a body in san antonio...if we had duncan, he would have been awesome in new york.

We didn't even get to have Houston.

I love how you're so negative that you project it into the future, accept it as fact, and then use it (the negative future outcome that you have accpeted as truth) as a reason to discredit an action that has already occured.

Or in other words...
The Nazzy trade sucks because those draft picks are gonna be traded for another player who is worse than Nazzy.

The only problem is, it hasn't happened, and I don't think it will. A player worse than Nazzy? Its not that easy to do.

people look at Nazr's 19 & 7 lastnight and think he is some kind of beast inside when in reality everyone has a lucky game now and then when they go 8-10. Bottomline is Nazr wasn't good enough offensively or defensively on the Knicks. Now if he went to the Spurs and became a decent defender under a an actual NBA coach like Popovic which is very possible then good for him. I wish him the best. He would've been wasting his career away in NY with this organization and coaching staff!

Nazr was a great fit when Marbury was driving and dishing and causing rotations down low and he would be a solid starting c on any team.

And while he gets his points off garbage, o rebound put backs and dunks off dishes, the fact is that he does that and there are a ton of players who can't.

Namely, KT, Rose and Mo T.

Don't dump on Nazr- if the picks work out, great. If they don't, it was a halfway bad trade- sure everyone can say we weren't winning with Nazr, but we're also not winning with Rose.
