On everyones mock draft they got him getting picked in the lottery after the highschool kids Green or Webster.

Draftcity compares him to Ray Allen or Eddie Jones. ESPN compares him to Tracy McGrady. Anyway you look at it he is supposed to be a sure thing at shooting guard.

There is no doubt he has the athletic ability. He has the shooting touch also.

Onr thing that annoys me is he has that lazy tag on him. All the draft picks this year have been called lazy in more ways than any draft class in recient history. Even people have been saying Bogut paces himself too much and doesn't dominate the way he should.

College Basketball is a coaches game. They run every possession and all want the game to be played their way or they get benched....so with saying that I don't think anyone should put too much worries into that.

Anyway anybody got something to say about Antoine Wright?

I think if the Knicks were to get another pick he would be a nice player to consider.

He is the great unkown. I've never seen a Texas A$M game. He seems to have more athleticism than Webster, with less basketball IQ. He seems to be more of a pure 2 than Webster as well.

Webster at 235, would probably project better to the the Three.. better rebounder. It's all about how you want to build your team.. a master plan.

these master plan nonsense things are just that - nonsense - you've got to have a general idea and go from there. how often in the NBA do you think you can sign / draft trade for the players you want in your master plan?

everyone's master plan is the same, trust me. here's the general NBA GM's master plan:

Dominating Shaq-like Center - on offense and defense

PF - Athletic, Scorer, 6-11, good passing skills, Good help defender, range out to 3 if necessary

SF - Lock down defender - can drill the 3 and can post up. Athletic.

SG - Deadeye shooter with great defense. Can slash to the basket and create own shot, can pass the ball and grab 3 rebounds a game

PG - Pass first, but can score. Fast. Tall (6'3"+). Good defense. Can split double teams, quick first step. Good leadership skills.

Bench - some vets, tough guy/enforcer, young talent, straight 3 point marksman, solid backups at each position

Assets: stockpiled draft picks, cap space - big metro area/ warm weather

Caseloads.. its not nonsense... you may not like the word.. but its what this team has lacked.

You have pieces to start with... you don't just add "players to the mix".. ala seven power forwards, no post up game, no role players, .. your oversimplifying things and stating the obvious.

What happens when the GM has a the PF your talking about? Who do you surround him with to complement his skills. Do you try to get the SF that can play defense, be a stopper? You can't have all those things listed.. but you can put an effective Cohesive unit together by having a collection of strengths. Not the ... let's get a severe underachiever, injury prone guy and hope he developes into the best case scenario. ala Knicks, ala Portland.

This planning should start now, since the aforementioned "get tempermental underachievers and random athletes" plan hasn't worked. There seems to be no team identity in this plan. You have a bunch of whiney no character types looking for their own shot.. no Oakley's, no defense, no ball-movement, etc.
