The Knicks suck. Next year their gonna suck more. All us Knick fans do is hope. Lets be serious now, these draft picks are not gonna give us more than 33 wins neither is a coach.

If Zeke keeps drafting these athletic players with "Potential" but no skill, were gonna look like the Clippers when they had, Magette, Odom, Rich, and Miles. Exciting but are not gonna win games.

I was optimistic at first, but when you really look at it theirs no lebron james or dwyane wade in this draft.

Marbury still gonna be Starbury. Crawford is still gonna shoot 60ft 3's. Tim Thomas is still gonna extend his offseason till January. Sweetney still gonna be at Applebee's. Kurt Thomas is still gonna be a big eyed jump shooter, who aint good for s#@$ on the block.

I think its time we just face the truth. The Darkest days are coming for this Franchise.

Does anybody agree or disagree?

I think with a little luck and a decent trade or two we will be a seven or eight seed in the playoffs next year if this is what you want. 40-45 wins look like a high mark.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Believe it or not but the east is gettin better and no teams are gonna wait for the Knicks to be good. There were actually 9 teams over .500 this year. All the teams in the playoffs are gonna be better(except for philly), Lebron is gonna make sure the Cavs get to the playoffs, and the Magic are gonna be better. Where does that leave the knicks?

I completely agree. Last year I actually thought the Knicks were going to make it. Now, the team is, if possible, worse. Why?

1. Despite the stats line, it doesnt seem like Marbs is a winner. But this isnt our main problem.

2. There's no support for our all star. For some reason we have a ***load of PF's but not one of them can be a full game down low presence. And 4/5 are getting too old (29+). Too many role players, not enough skill.
Crawford.. i've realized he's a poor man's Sprewell: makes shots, not much of anything else. At least Spree played great D.
TT.. does anyone believe in him any more? Sure he had a tough emotional year, but i dont see him getting any better. The only upside about him is that he'll probably peak this year (age-wise and its a contract year).
Reez is gonna get better but at 20, he cant do too much.

3. The draft ain't looking good for the NOW. Everyone's talking about drafting for the future. Given our pick in the draft, it looks like this is whats gonna happen. So whoever we pick probably won't contribute - ESPECIALLY cause we're talking about the Knicks here. They dont give PT to rookies.

4. Coaching. We're not gonna get a coach that can turn this team around. PJ won't do it, Herb won't do it. And we're not getting Larry or Phil.

The team's just looking bad. I guess its another lottery pick next year. Hopefully whoever coaches will realize that winning the last few games really isnt necessary. If anything, it just f**ks you over.

How can you talk about being serious and then fill your post with hyperbole? In all seriousness, I think that IT can put an exciting, competitive team together in a year or two. I think that AH is a huge burden on this team right now not just because of his salary, but also because the team continually plans as though AH will be a contributor. regardless of winning a championship, I would go to the garden to watch a team of Marbs, Craw, Ariza, Warrick, and Stro. All indications show Warrick falling to 19, where Memphis' pick is. Why not make a trade with the Grizz for Stro and the 19 for Sweets, KT and the 30 pick? That leaves us the poss of getting Bynum or Green with the 8 pick, neither of whom are likely to be productive this year. That would be a seriously good offseason and very plausible.

why in the world would Memphis trade Swift and #19 for kurt, sweetney & #30?

Good question. Perhaps I overvalue our players, but with the risk of losing Stro for nothing as a free agent (you know Atl will make a high offer) perhaps the thought of the veteran KT and Sweets will be enough. Or, we can make them an offer they cannot refuse.

And thats a playoff team. Ariza is not gonna start. Warrick is not start. Ariza is gonna get more minutes than Warrick because he is a proven commodity. Stro is gonna be injured atleast 10 games of the season. Green aint droppin to 8 and Bynum is gonna take a couple of years to really contribute. As I said before, a team like that would be exciting to watch but not win any games.

I guess my point is that I'll take exciting over a non-championship winning playoff team.

The Nets can offer a lot more or he'll just sign with atlanta

A Nets team like that would be pretty sick. Nobody "wants" to sign with Atl. They just use them for threat purposes. Even if Stro is not the Center, the concept is my point. Put together an exciting team until you can get a competitive team. Players with highlight reels put fans in the seats, thus increasing their trade value.

If Stro went on the Nets it would give kidd that High flying Power foward he wants back. Damn! Carter, Jefferson, and Swift with Kidd passing the ball, they'll be on sportcenter everynight

I could definitely see this as well. Would take a few things:

1. Marbs has to have a strong year; I'd take a replay of '04-'05 from him.

2. Craw, Sweets and Ariza all have to improve.

3. One of the draft picks has to be 6'10" or over and give us 20 minutes a night.

4. We need to pick up a guard through draft, trade or free agency who can give 15-20 min/night.

Only way I see us improving if we could somehow get Ron Artest. He might average 30 next season

It is hilarious that you mention two teams who I think are in horrible situations. I have no confidence that Lebron will "get" his team to the playoffs anytime soon. No one to this date has explained that team's collapse two years in a row. And I think the Magic are just a collection of marginal talent players much like the Knicks. I think those teams will be competing for the final playoff spots for the next couple of years.
