seriously. i can't remember a worse time for me being a knicks fan. do you think this team will make any real moves to build long term? or are we stuck shuffling big deals and making trades for the right now?

personally, by the way marbury played 50 mins and ariza got DNP's - this organization will not change until it hits ROCK BOTTOM. we're almost there but we already heard it from management - injuries hurt this season. yes it did - it prevented us from winning 37 games instead.

i'm very pissed about this team and we can't do SH T about it. (i gave up my season tix - but there's a dolt right behind me waiting to sign up)

I agree. It doesn't look good. We have so many needs and so few assets with which to fill them. Our biggest need is by far the center position. We need someone who can rebound, defend, and block shots at that position. It's unlikely that someone will trade us such a player so we have to use the draft picks/MLE to get one. Until we get one, we aren't getting anywhere close to where we want to be. If we come out of this offseason without one, then I consider it a bad offseason. Every indication is that the team will take the BPA which is a good strategy for a rebuilding team, but for a team with a $100m+ payroll with no center, is quite pointless.

I have absolutely no faith in the Knicks to play their young players heavy minutes. I personally feel they stunted Sweetney's growth by not playing him heavy minutes from day one. They should have been giving Ariza heavy minutes also. So does it really matter who the kNicks draft, I doubt that the players they draft get ample amount of time to develope properly. Its going to be the same garbage all over again. Start KT, play Taylor, more rose and TT, Penny and so on and so on. It doesn't matter what they do win or lose the vets have heavy priority over the young on this NYK team. Thats their down fall its not that they draft poorly its the fact that the young aren't given ample amount of time to develope into stars.

Other teams draft to make stars out of players. The Knicks draft to make role players out of draftees. I hate to say this but I personally think that players dread being drafted by the KNicks, why because I think they know the knicks reguardless if they suck won't play them heavy minutes to develope.

The Knicks are notourious for taking a 2 year process of development and making it into 3-5 year process and by that time if a player isn't developed he is automatically in the category of a role player or a bust. Excuse me if I'm not that excited anymore about the prospect of a NYK draft. I love the draft but I really dispise the Knicks with what they do to their drafted player. They have absolutely no intention of making thier drafted player into a superstar. Even if the KNicks draft say a Green, he will oh and ahh us with his 5 minutes of play and then we will be scratching our heads wondering why he isn't getting more PT. Just like Ariza why wasn't he getting 30 minutes a game when the kNicks were done. It makes you scratch your head. Then you have the wise guys on the board that will say he can't beat out TT, he just a 19 year old kid. NO no no if a player has superstar potential you want to give him every opportunity to bring it out fast especially for a team going no where.

I love the kNicks but do I have faith in them to do the right thing, HELL NO!

vmart is right, does not matter who we draft, our picks will rot on the bench. ny's draft record is a slap in the face to knick fans..... truly a waste of time

Isaiah has a good record drafting players. Ariza and Sweetney will see more time next season. Maybe one or both will make the starting lineup. We've hit bottom. It gets better from here.
