No way. The way the Knicks are now, that's just another injured player with a bloated contract. It could have upside if Hill returns to form, but that's not really too likely.

Even if Hill returns he wouldn't be a premiere player in the NBA. He was in 97 and 98, but now with guys like Kobe, AI, the Truth, TMack, etc., all having blossomed, Hill has seen his prime slipping away with a cast on his foot.

id take the risk. Many dont remember how Grant played in 98. Grant made a mini comeback this year and he look amazing till he went down again injuring the other leg. Risk is the only way we can turn around our francise without blowing up the team. We were a sorry team (.500) until we took a risk on Spree, he revitsalized our frnacise and we even made the finals. Its risk time again. Im willing to risk for Grant Hill or Antonio McDyess, maybe even both.

Grant Hill played far from well this year. He averaged 16.8 points while Spree averaged 19 but he did but up good rebound numbers averaging 9. He's not worth the risk, just let Spree's contract expire, but we do not need another Allan Houston, except this one with Marcus Camby's injury problems combined into one. Why would you want him, there is no upside. This team needs to get young.

14 games in I dont think spree averaged 16 points. You cant base everything of 14 games. The guy is talented. A great rebounder. He is the same player as TMAC.

Not likely. These past two seasons of injuries have made Grant Hill's prime pass much quicker than it should. He is good, but he will not be the player everyone remembers when he comes back.

If you took a risk by trading for Grant Hill and he only managed to play 3 or 4 games before another injury, what then? It would be a waste trading Spree for Hill.

And he wouldn't put the Knicks over the hump. They might make the playoffs again and I guess that'd be good, but would they be able to beat a team like the Lakers, Spurs, or Mavs if they went that far? No way, they need to start over, and trading for a chronically injured swingman with a huge contract shouldn't be step one.

well you cant guarentee any team to beat any team in the west. You just try to improve your team and pray what they dont have in talent gets made up in chemistry. Knicks lack chemistry bigtime. Talentwise this team is at least good enough for 3 or 4 in the east.
