It all boils down between these 2. If the Knicks draft either 1 it will turn around the Knikcs fortunes. I think Bogut is overrated
and will amount to nothing more than Brad Miller.

Green maybe a Mcgrady in a few year.Webster I think is stronger
and will make an impact right away.

Either way these are btoh going to be great picks. IMO the 2 best players after Marv Williams.

The Knicks have great point guards but I don;t think it would hurt to add Sarunas Jasikevicius. Obviously u can olny add him if the Kniks can get a quality big

Good post. I am far more familiar with Green (and love him). I don't think I can comment intelligently on Webster.

Re the 30th pick: Sarunas Jasikevicius or Daniel Ewing or Nate Rob or some guard that can come off the bench & give us not only quality, but a little bit of nastiness. I think its critical to add a 3rd guard that is tough, competitive. Marbury is a stud offensively but basically doesn't care on the other end. Crawford is talented, but his unwillingness to even try to draw a foul (i.e. play offense anywhere within 20 feet of the hoop) or dig in defensively is a killer. Ewing is the best of those 3 (and there are more like Gilchrist for example) because Ewing can play both guard spots.

Id be happy with either of these two and Nate. that would help our backcourt, i still think that we will trade the pick however. That would be cool if we got a full sized SG[one a better shooter, the other more athletic] and then a tough back up PG who has high character and superior athltscim. Just think what it would do to team athletiscm if we got Green and Robinson.

...if you are going to compare the 2 Highschoolers you should also add in there Antoine Wright.

wright is a good player. hes goot good size, very athletic, does a lot of things well, can also go to PG at 6-7, but while he shot the ball well this year, it's possible it was an aberration because he was horrid from the perimeter the two previous seasons. hes going to be a high pick, but there is as much ??? on him as anyone- hes different from Granger in that he really is a good ballhandler, not that Granger is bad, but he is more of a pure 3.

In terms of just shooting the ball, Martell Webster is the best of the 4. the best defender would be Granger by a wide margin as well as rebounder. The best athlete with the most upside out of all 4 isGreen and Wright is the last, but not least conservative choice. Smaller body than Granger.

If I had to rank them it would be
Green
Granger
Webster
Wright
the other two, despite their size, are 2 Gs

Green might be just as good a shooter as Webster and his celling is higher which is why he will be the 1st to go

Isiah needs to trade the 8th pick for 2 more first round picks. We have need in all of our areas. We need PG, SG, SF, AND CENTERS. With a total of 4 or 5 picks we will have more than ample chances at a serious reconstruction in N.Y. I like Green, Petro and many other players, but our needs are too great....
