anyone think TT is going to play harder and better during his contract year. I hope so that way his value will increase at the deadline.

I know there are going to be people and even Isiah who might consider resigning him. I hope not...

They all seem to play up at contract time.

I don't care what he does, I want him gone!

Just let him and Penny expire. Get some more flexibility, and just add the 2 roster spots for more youngin' draft picks. If he has a career year, WE KNOW he's just pulling an Erick Dampier.

Yeah, I am with you all on that. I used to think that this dude would have developed into a real baller, but I was wrong.

TT had the worst year of his career in 2004-05. It will be hard for him to be any worse. He actually picked it up towards the end of the season too. There is no reason to believe he wont be better/play harder than last year.

The question is, how good will he be? Will he drive into the lane all the time, get rebounds and play decent defense or will he just be a nonchalant offensive player. Either way, his trade value is going to be go up.

this is why I pray for Warrick. the most glaring whole on the roster is SF. Center can be addressed with Z, Andersen or Hunter.

I want the playoffs to end today....I am sich and tired of the teams that are out there playing right now. The freaking Wizzards are in the playoffs, and the Knicks are at home fishing once again....I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. I want Phil to makeup his freaking mind and stop playing the Knicks around, I want Isiah to take a freaking position about our future. I want for him to get rid of all of the players tha he has inherrited from the Layden's regime as soon as possible.....I don't even care if Sweet is part of that rotation...

his career averages are nothing to write home about either way...i hope he's traded or his contract is allowed to expire...DO NOT extend this guy, i don't care if he has a 18/4 type season next year...a career of underachievement should not be washed away w/1 good season in a contract year.

Guys that we definitely have to find another home for: TT, Kurt, Sweetney (because we don't have time to watchover this young kid's weight, especially when there are much better talents available), and maybe Crawfford.

Guys 3 people in his family died this year, he played well in the 2nd half, that is not something to take lightly.

If he plays well next year, we will have to determine whether he is playing well because he is over the turmoil or because its a contract year. Either way I agree he should go, lets hope he plays well and gets us a good player and/or picks in return. There are a few teams out there that need a 3rd scorer to put them over the hump. Houston comes to mind and TT can play the 3, but JVG may not want him because defensively he leaves much to be desired. Maybe playing on a team with a legit chance, he;ll play better, he could certainly help them if he did.

what happened all the other years TT was in the league? career averages can't be dismissed in this discussion regardless of the circumstances surrounding his personal life last season...the truth is he's always been an underachiever...there's no reason for the Knicks to extend him...play Ariza & draft a Hakim Warrick & you have your SF spot filled for the next 10 years.

No thanks. A 4 playing in a 3 body. No thanks to Z, a big no thanks to Andersen or Hunter. I rather draft Taft over Warrick, I would use the 30th pick on Hodges if Houston ain't ever coming back and in that case, cut Houston to clear up space. Personally I would like Isiah to secure another pick and try to obtain Petro and Taft and Hodges on draft night which would mean giving up on Sweetney and KT. Hodges might be available in round 2 but I think he is going to perform really well at private workouts.

but he always takes the 1st half of the season off so I guess there's no reason to worry about Isiah wanting to resign him. He'll never play well enough for a team to want him for more than just his expiring contract

the thing that is very interesting is that kvh and tim thomas are exact opposites in terms of when they show up. Tim thomas can have pretty good fourth quarters and second halfs, while as a rule KVH usually plays worse or chokes. That's what made me hope that TT could be kept last year during our playoff run, that he tended to showup during the final minutes. But in terms of the season and taking a larger view of things, it seems like KVH overall still puts up better numbers regardless. But look at what he turned into, rotting on the mavericks' bench before getting an injury and ending his season. Not something to be desired other way. I look at it this way: we basically traded an aging star for the best we could get for him, and no matter who we stuck with, we would still be stuck with one of them. Take your pick... undersized, out of position spree whining and bitching all the time, kvh choking in crucial moments and getting injured, or TT, who does not need an explanation.
I hope TT has a 20 ppg season next year so we can get something out of us feeding him ariza's minutes.

Dude, no offense because I was you once, but you're spending too much time on video-games. I had that sickness too... playing 82 game seasons as the Knicks, killing the league and winning MVPs..drafting rookies who become All-NBA.. then i'm thinking.. how many hours did i devote to this nonsense?

As for Tim Thomas, I want to let his contract expire. Same with Penny. Unless we get a draft pick back with a young player and another ending contract, i'd just sit still.

lol @ being BANNED by Martin since 11/07/10 (for asking if Mr. Earl had a point). Really, Martin? C'mon. This is the internet. I've seen much worse on this site. By Earl himself. Drop the hypocrisy.

He had a good 2nd half, assume that he has a big year, say 18-6-4, has he finally reached his potential or is he having a contract (career) year. His talent and ability have never been questioned although it has never shown up on a consistent basis. Do we dump him for some draft pick with TT's talent and the unknown or keep him and keep our fingers crossed? Just because we have been dissappointed in the past should not automatically relegate him to the junk heap.

Maybe we can geta high potential guy or top draft pick like Darko? Change for the sake of change may not be the panacea.
