General random question -
Is Greg Anthony more suited to be a head coach or a GM in the league?? I personally think he is the man. He is probably best suited for TV.

Good question, I'm not sure if Greg would be able to motivate guys out on the court becuase he's not a screamer like Avery is. I think he'd be very well suited for the GM job though. His breakdowns on ESPN and his knowledge of all the players is excellent in my mind, I think he'd put together a pretty darn good roster if he were given the shot.

Ok so your comparing Greg Anthony to Phil Jackson? Whats your stance on Greg Anthony Fish? You kinda just made a statement to dispute mine and didn't give any sort of opinion of your feelings about Greg Anthony.

any game show hosts good for coach?

TV guys can say all the right things, but they have no won-loss record to be accountable for.

Hubie was a coach first. Same with Fratello. Coaches are good tv guys, Anthony can play, but thats all we know. Phill Jax had a tough time getting his Bulls job. He was assistant with Nets, then had to go to CBL first.

Krause took a lot of heat for many things, but he did hire Phil Jax!

Greg Anthony doesn't have any coaching experience except for his stint on those celebrity basketball games. I do believe that he should be a good GM. Isn't he rumored for the Cavs GM job?

I would say that if he did decide to get involved in coaching he should be an assistant first. But who would have thought Mo Checks or Nate Mcmillan would be good coaches. Also DOc Rivers. I don't know which ones had assistant positions and for how long before becoming head coaches. I do think he would make a better GM probably because of his ability to understand personell and evaluate talent sort of like IT.

Excellent idea. Then he'll hire Scott Pollard to be player/coach.

No one grown person should need another grown person to scream at them just so they can do their job right.

I tell you what....if Greg Anthony can hold his own next to that loud mouth Stephen A. Smith he can do anything.

He's also a master motivational speaker, and charges upto a 100K for his 1 to 2 hour sessions.

I'll tell you what still amazes me about Phil Jackson - that he held his team together after Pippen quit on them in the Garden. you look at Bonzi and Kwame getting bounced, Scottie should have had his ass permanently bounced right then and there, but phil did an incredible job with it and even handled the press beautifully about it right after the game.

very good point. That could've really gotten out of hand. What did phil do?
