Man anyone see Dirk getting in Damp's grille??? Just screaming in his face. Two different occasions this quarter. Wonder what language he's doing it in.

I wonder if Dampier has the desire. I know for a fact that I didn't want the Knicks going anywhere near him in the offseason last year because of the simple fact that he put up big numbers in his contract year. I know Damp's numbers this year weren't steller, but they werent bad, but they were more of the same that he put up pre-contract year in Goldent State. I just wonder if lack of desire has anything to do with this.

He looked absolutely lost last night. Looked like a combination of lack of ability and confusion on his part. i felt bad for the guy when Dirk was basting him - i don't know if I've ever seen a guy get dressed down that badly by a teammate in a nationally-televised playoff game. THen DOug COllins had to keep showing replays of his mistakes and drawing in arrows to show all the things he SHOULD have been doing instead!

I didn't catch Dirk chewing out Dampier. I would have been dying laughing.

Dampier deserved it though. There was one play where Damp gave a pick for Stackhouse and rolled out to Kurt Thomas range like he can hit a jumpshot to save his life. Stack was clearly annoyed and didn't pass it to him. Damp should have rolled to the basket.....he would have had a easy dunk. Props to Doug Collins.....

I'm just glad he's not on the Knicks....then again he is a prime candidate since he has a long undesirable contract to trade some of our power fwds for.....argh!

"He's a step slow on everything," Nowitzki said after the game. "He never got involved in the game. He has always been in foul trouble. The first series was the same thing. He gets a quick two fouls in the first two or three minutes, and we can't be aggressive any more. Then he gets the third foul and has to sit."

Nowitzki continued.

"The bottom line is we've got to get something out of our center position," he said. "We really haven't gotten anything out of it."

I won't even post what Damp said in return...he's a loser.

I sent him a e-mail through his website during the off-season giving him encourgement and telling him to sign with Indiana or the Knicks. I told he he needed to get more aggressive in the post because he has nice moves and footwork.

He wrote back and told me that fans don't really know what goes on behind the scenes and he needs more touches. It's up to the coaches.

Total crap.

I'll look for the e-mail on my computer and post it if it's still there.
