No one thinks he would do a good job? I think he is one of the smartest color guys on tv and has a lot of experience. Is he even on the radar? I think the Knicks need a loud mouth coach that will constantly open up his mouth and say what needs to be said. Someone like Pitino would be great.

So why don't the Knicks just hire a Drill instructor from out military?

Better yet.....they can hire the Singapore gov't to handle the Knicks players.....everytime the Knicks lose a game down the stretch they'll get 15 lashes with a Cane!!!

haha maybe he would! he has a tendency to make the jermaine jacksons of the world, guys who don't even get playing time sound like hall of famers so maybe he will threaten their jobs lol

Doug seems to have crazy baggage everywhere he coaches. I think he's too high-strung for the job.

I assume you're kidding about Ewing. He was always considered a great teammate but not a "leader." His performance as head of the players Union was considered to have been beyond a joke.

I don't know about Ewing, because he and Herb appear to have similar traits. They are both too quiet to coach in this league. He did a horrible job at motivating Kwame and Haywood when he was an assistant in Washington....Marc seems to be a loud mouth and most of all, he is an ex PG

I happen to like him as an anylist, but as a coach, he sucks. No thanks to him.
