first off that darn PG for Maccabi, the kid from Maryland is a darn good player.

Splitter played better. he needs time. I think he is probably close to 7-1, he's a very, very agile dude. Runs up and down th court and his best asset right now is he kind of shuts down the lane with his length. But in the 2 games I have watched, I havent seen any sign of the offensive game. Hes aguy who could play with an NBA team off the bench, but there is risk because you are talking about a guy I dont think has
A. any real sort of polished O game
B. His best position would be C but doesnt play it for Tau, atleast it didnt appear that way on the O

But he did have a pretty good effect on the D> he could be good IF he learns a full offenisve arsenal. I dont know what to say, but he is a guy who is agile probably 7-0 7-1, fast

I dont know. If someone could work with him, he could be a real force in 2 years because he is about Bogut size a little skinnier

yeah there was never any doubt in my mind that this guy was a legit 7ft in shoes and he's not rail thin either like a Vranes/Martynas, he has nice muscle tone for a 20yr old. And he has better footspeed than Bogut. I think you're right, with the right coaching and conditioning he can be good frontcourt player maybe even our Center.

I hope Isiah has him go up against Taft in rookie camp and see which bigman looks more impressive. As far as bigs go its between those 2 and Bynum if he really declares. I would still take Green though unless one of these bigs REALLY impress!

I've heard there are a lot of question marks about Splitters game and he's nowhere near ready so i'm hesitant. I like Green but i don't know if he will be available. Other than that it's between Taft and Warrick for me.

you can say Taft isn't ready either but the way I look at it both Taft and Splitter could be ready to errupt next year. Especially Taft who people forget is only a Sophmore and bigs take longer to develop. So if the Knicks draft him next year will be his Junior year and thats when Bigs really make their impact. This is also why I'm so impressed with what Bogut accomplished as a sophmore as well.

Taft will be featured offensively a lot more by Marbury and the Knicks then he was in the guard oriented college game.

I agree Taft could be good he's just a big question mark. I see a guy who could be the next Amare, Kemp, McDyess(pre-injured) type if he develops. However, i also see him possibly becoming the next Kwame, Curry, Wilcox type, guys who could still develop into good players but are taking too long to do so. But i'm not at all opposed to drafting Taft.

You are very right about Splitter, BUT his offensive game is not worse than Petro's for example in my opinion.
Hehe, and Sarunas Jasikevicius is simply the best European player now. Well, he has won 3 consecutive European championships. He played for Barcelona, but we let him go away...

Yeah but is he as atheltic as Petro?
I say pertro dunk from the dotted line with quite a bit of ease. Petro also has a better body. There were questions about petro's height, is he really 6-11 or 7 feet or is he much shorter.

having offensive skills and good footspeed is a heck of a lot more important than being athletic and jumping high!

Yes! We may be the only people here who thinks this way.

Splitter is as athletic as Gasol. Petro is better at that.

Tim Capstraw said, is a quick jumper who doesn't have to bend his legs before he goes up for a dunk or blocked shot.
