Yah that sucks. Outside Yao and T-mac they really don't have anyone worth anything. HOw about that Yao though...

I'm surprised that Houston pushed the series to a Game 7. They aren't that good, but neither is Dallas.

no Dallas is good, not a championship team but they should give PHX a run for their money! You're right it is pretty shocking that Houston went this far with only 2 stars and a weak supporting cast.

Houston is one player away from seriously contending. I think they are a PF away. I think if JVG could win with Ward/Childs he can win with Mike James who's a pretty good player. But they need a tougher PF than Juwan Howard. One that plays defense and rebounds not just score. They could problably us a dependable scoring SF. Maybe Spree?

I really wanted Jeff & Ewing to win rings.

Now Im putting all my chips on the SuperSonics. They have a good chance to win rings. I don't want the following players winning rings: Mourning, Miller, Anderson, Horn, Nash.

If Anderson or Horn or Nash win rings there will be an orgy of knickhating by the b.s. media; With Zeke and Steph getting the brunt of it. Don't want the drama. It will just spill into the Knicks new season, not good.

If Mourning or Miller win a ring. Apart of me will die. I know some Knicks fans want Miller to win a ring. I can't be for that man. No way.

maybe if van gazy dont diss officiating rockets could've pulled the upset.....

hey....wait a minute, he did the same thing in ny to our players.

when the going gets tough, all of a sudden this diss act is somehow the focus instead of winning......what a smuck

I don't get it? how is that the reason they lost? they lost because they are a 2man team. Dallas is better. You need at least 3 key players to contend.

Yeah thats probably why they wont trade away their pick for KT. They'll look to get some good young player in there.

Or another good player some other way. I can't think of another player they would be able to get that would put them over the top.

The record will show what you said. You are now marked by the munks and roses. If any team other than Miami, San Antonio and Detroit wins you are buying 4 rounds of Hefeweizen at Zum Schneider!

I predict that dallas will beat the suns. Dallas can score and they have a deep bench, the can match up player for player with the suns... should be very interesting, and another thing to note, watch the play of jason terry.. I have said before, the mavs got a defensive upgrade with terry replacing nash, and he can score.. should be interesting..

Suns better be able to adapt. One thing we saw in the Mavs/Rox series Avery studies game tapes and makes adjustments the very next game. Something JVG was known for, but he just didn't do imho. Jeff pretty much put all his chips on Yao & Tmac to win. His brother Stan coaches differently, in that he always has that one extra player to be the x factor in the game. Which is what Avery did ... yeah Dirk & Terry lit it up game 7 but the x factor was Darrell Armstrong.

Yeah! GO Mavs!!

I was in Houston this weekend at a family wedding. I kept leaving the reception to hang in the bar and watch the game. I was loving every freaking second of it and when those Houstonites (whoever's been there knows what thy're like) kept coming in to see the score getting more and more obscene, I got to take in all their moans and groans and excuses - it was great!!!

What now it is up to 3 players. Let's see last year it was Stevie's fault "Ming no gets to touch ball", so you acquired a top 5 player, you add him to a "rising superstar" in Yao Ming, you get the guys that the coach wants, you get the assistants the coach want, and you play a team that is limping to the playoffs trying to get healthy that had a coaching change just a couple of weeks ago. I would hate to see that series if Dirk was actually playing at his normal all-star level. I just want to know if it is still Stevie's fault.

Hey I know a lot of Knick fans like JVG but he is overrated. That Houston team was up 2-0 coming back home. Plan and simple Avery Johnson out coached JVG but no one will admit to it. It's funny the only real decent run he has in 99, when that team was nicknamed team turmoil, got his GM fired, turned out that the GM was right and the coach was wrong and short sided. If it wasn't for Houston's shot and Riley's Heat I don't know where JVG's Knicks legacy would be in the 90s. To me what happened in Dallas wasn't nothing new, if only the Old Riley Heat were still around, the Rockets would have won that series.

I'll tell you why I think Dallas won - KVH's injury. I'm not kidding - he was poisoning that team on the court.

I'm serious you need a 3rd option to win. Houston clearly only have 2.

Look at the Bulls with arguably the best player to play the game they still needed Kukoc and Rodman. Or the last time the Knicks were good we had Glen Rice as our 3rd option.

and it was common knowledge that Dallas had the better more talented, deeper team hence they were favored.
