nbadraft.net, insidehoops.com, hoopshype.com .. they all dont agree with whats being said here. Sure, the top 3 are set. But everything else is up for grabs. Green is all over the place, Martynas is sometimes as high as #5, Warricks #18... whats up with this?

How do you guys "know" that we can't get someone in the top 7?

we are smarter than those stupid sites?

A couple guys here have seen alot of these players live or follwed them for some time. Alos a lot of it is just recent history. There's always suprises but you start to see patterns year after year.

Actually, if you want to go by average's, Martynas has been the highest ranking foreign player over the last yera by a good margin. I had an arguement over on realGM AFTER I found out that he wasnt even coming over here to give pre-draft workouts[which of course i suspected he would, sounds logical right?] that he should be pushed well back into the first round-perhaps in the 20s by Denver who would leve him over in Euro until he proved some more.
I simply do not beleive any of these lower teams would take martynas without serious workouts like what hakim and joey graham went through yesterday. i dont see any team in the top 20, maybe Indiana would be the only one, who could afford to take a snapper on a guy who wont show it!

He did have that one game this year for Zalgris where he went 11 7 r 6 block in 19 minutes, which obviously shows a LOT of potnetial, he is 7-3 with an incredible 7-8 wingspan and he has agility and mobility, he ha shown what he can do at lower levels, but I just dont see a team taking a huge risk that high any more--especially top 5. I see him going down.

the word is frabn vazquez to mil at 6, but hes also a no biggee, and Tiago is 1-2 years away from contributing+he has a huge buyout problem.

this draft is much much much harder to dechipher than regular ones. because the talent level from 14-45 is close.

I don't know about Martynas slipping. He was already climbing in the scouts' book last year when he outplayed all the guys in age group in that scrimmage game. Now after a year of looking at more film and training with Sabonis, I'm not sure that he'll slip too far. I'd think that teams would have a semi-confident read on him by now.

I think Martynas will go anywhere from 10-15. He might slip further if he doesn't do any kind of workout.
