the knicks would trade for michael redd. the bucks are in desperate need for a point guard. so...

Marbury
Sweetney
#30

For

Redd
Gadzuric
Gaines
----------
82 games passed but still a lot to mention/ this season was worse crawfords shot selection/ only 15 minutes a game going to Trevor Ariza!/ and Fat azz Sweetney fouls himself out, just to get a breather!/ Everybody is still wondering what is our GMs plan/ or whats worse a 9game losing streak or Marbs wearing a headband/ Kidd killed us in the media showing that are team is nothing but punks/ what I learned from this season is that Malik Rose can hardly dunk/ and finally when I think we found the center we wanted/ Zeke goes ahead and trades Nazr Mohammed/ I really think james dolan should get his azz kick/ not only did we lose 49 games but a chance at a #7 draft pick/ and nobody disgust me more than Houston and Penny Hardaway/ they not ballers, they should be working jobs, tryna make a penny the harder way/

Mo Williams is a solid point guard. The Bucks don't need a point. To tell you the truth I dunno what that team needs because on paper that team should have been in the playoffs.

Micheal Redd would be nice but dude doesn't make his team better. He's just a shooter. He would easily be the missing piece to Denver or some team that needs a shooting guard.

Atleast you know the trade isn't fixed in favor of NYK.
It seems like Sweetney and #30 are just throw-ons for this trade. They're going to be fairly valuable. I would hold back on this one.

but that trade solves two problems. along with redd, we get gadzuric who could be our starting center on a team desperate for size. true, he has been on the bench in favor of joe smith and he is inconsistent but he is a young and athletic center who can block shots. the backcourt of redd and crawford is a good one for years. crawford showed signs that he can be a legitimate pointguard in this league. he must be more disciplined. no, redd doesn't make others better but so far marbury has'nt either. not to say he will never but i would at least consider this trade. redd is a sg that can avg. 25ppg. only allen, iverson and bryant can do that at that position.

Pleeeeeease! Didn't you see how much he elevated Nazy's game? Actually, every starter had either their career averages or way above their career averages with Marbury as their PG. He made the players around him better, but they're just not good enough to win many games.

None of that matters if you can't win games. Marbs has shown that he can't cary the team, and when he tries to spread the ball, they don't win. I don't like this trade, but it doesn't mean I dislike the idea of trading Marbs. Maybe we can pull a Phoenix.

That's really not a bad trade at all. Redd is a young and tall shooting guard who brings us that consistent shooting that we really need and we get that center who actually plays defense, blocks shots and fills the lane on the break. Put Crawford at the point and draft Warrick, and that's actually really good. You can put Hakim at the 3 or 4. Let TT and Penny burn.

Eventually, you have a starting lineup that can look like:

C- Gadzurick
PF- Warrick
SF- Ariza
SG- Redd
PG- Crawford

That's a solid solid starting lineup that will only come to us in our dreams.

i agree...i would have to look long & hard at that trade...it sets us up for a bright future, but it would depend on what kind of extension Michael Redd is signed to.

No starter, no matter how good, can carry a team with 4 below average starters.

Marbury being able or not being able to carry a team is not the reason we make the trade. This discussion has been made 10 bazillion times the past week. Lets get back to Redd and Gaz. Knicks will be champs in 2007.

I was just replying to Ewings' comment. Marbury not being able to single-handledly carry the team was a relevant fact to him, even if it's not to you.

You can trade for 5 super stars, you don't have the right coach or chemistry, and can't defend as a team, what good is having all the talant in the world.

I'm not even concern about a real center no more becuase there's hardly any insight that would equal up to the talanted centers in the 80's and early 90's. All you basically need is a pf/c like kg/sheed/j oneal/zach/duncun.

Redd and gadzuric, then we go back to needing a real pg, or use eratic crawford at the pg spot. Doesn't make to much sense.

No. I wouldn't trade Marbury for Redd. Wouldn't trade Sweetney for Gadz. Wouldn't trade the 30 for Reece Gaines. Gimme Milwaukee's lotto pick and now we're talking.
