I think it's the most we can reasonably hope for.

i'm sorry but that would be the best offseason by a knick GM in a long long long time...better than the h20/childs/lj offseason.

I would like someone who would never have to be classified as a tweener. I don't want a guy who has no true "NBA" position as of right now being drafted. Warrick may indeed turn out to be a star if he either bulks up or dramatically improves his shot, but until I hear otherwise per the workouts and scouting reports, then I would be cautious drafting him. And he is not exactly 18 years old either, so he can't change that dramatically like ariza still can. Currently I am hoping that either we miraculously get a higher pick, or that someone projected to go earlier falls to our pick. Green or Taft would be good.

Briggs... it would seem your trying to create some kind of uptempo team.

I like Swift. I see him alot. I watch 15-20 Memphis games a year and parts of many more. Swift would be nice. What do we have that Memphis wants? I could see KT fitting well there, but with Cardinal he's somewhat redundant

I would be ecstatic if that all happened BRIGGS.

I was reading something on RealGM saying they may want an expiring contract and to get rid of one of their bad contracts.
Could something like Swift and Dickerson's contract (I guess it's something like 7.5M, 8.25M, and 9M through '08) for TT (or Penny) and second rounder work for either side? If there's one thing this team does with consistancy, it's take back the lousy contracts.

We are already a team full of midgits in the front line, and now Briggs is hoping for us to remain small upfront. What is this world coming too??

Don't we already have a "warrick" in Reezy?

Athletic, long, 6-8, and questionable perimeter game?

What can Warrick do that Reezy can't? And he is two years younger!

We need some big, or trade to get some!

I would be happy of course, but you can't win a championship with Swift as your center.

Well, it would be a good start if we made the playoffs next year. Rigt now the best I can expect from NY is that. Once we make the playoffs, then lets start talkking about championships...

I, like many here, am not sold out on Hakeem Warrick. I don't know why but I thing that we will be able to do better with the 8th pick. Or maybe it will be higher...

If we get a higher pick aka win the lottery. I'd faint. Yeah a bitch move, but come on man I'd be overtaken with euphoria.

This is still my value board for the #8 pick.

Gerald Green
Fran Vazquez
Chris Taft
Tiago Splitter

I agree with Nalod. We already have Ariza, need to fill-up other needs.

My perfect draft would be...
8 - Gerald Green
30 - Johan Petro - (Lightning strikes twice and Johan does a Lampe)
54 - Moussa Badiane - We need a shot blocker.

Id like to get Gerald Greene too. Someone that big playing 2G with his shot and athletic ability almost calls out star. Right now I am indifferent on the bigs. I still don't know enough about the foreign Euros and while I have somewhat sold the idea about Chris Taft at times, I find myself bouncing back and forth.

Id like to get Andrew Bogut, if we lose the lottery then I would do a LOT to try to get Green. If Im sitting at 8, there are scenarios I see where moving back might be the best bet.

Id be very willing to move back to the LAL spot IF they had a man they really wanted ahead of the Warriors for picks 37+39--giving them back 53:>) that what does kind of stink being at 8 instead of 7, there was more leverage at 7. I think Id be willing to do 8 for 12+32 from the clippers as well.

I think it would just give us more option to move back a few slots to get a high 2 in this draft. You're likely to get your player anyway, and then this draft is great in that 25-40 area, thats where serious value will be found. This draft is deep in that area. I think after 12-14 or so, anyone from 14 back to 40 could be very close in caliber.
