They have the 20 & 22 picks, if we could somehow move Marbury, in exchange for the picks and Nene in some possible deal, we could rebuild real fast with four picks in the draft.....

Is there any deal we can do....I wouldn't be opposed to giving them sweetney, and Marbury fits their uptempo style and Denver would instantly move up as one of the top teams in the west with marbury, melo, martin.....

his salary would cost them key pieces in their lineup like Kenyon AND Nene for example. That changes too much, although they would still be a very good team, but they should be looking for a cheaper option.

they're not going to go through all that trouble to get Marbury when they already have Andre Miller who is arguably better

if denver is under the cap next year, a possible deal would be crawford for both those picks. we then not only get the two picks, but a trade exemption for crawford's salary this year to be used up to 1 year later.

I would think that would be a pretty weak arguement, but I agree. In respect to each of their contracts, Miller is not a bad choice.

I actually like that scenario but the only way to do this deal is by matching contracts.

1st Scenario
Marbury for Camby, Andre Miller, 20th and 22nd pick.

2nd Scenario
Marbury for Andre Miller, Najera, Nene, 20th and 22nd pick.

I don't they would do the Camby trade because you would need a shot blocking center to protect Marbury.

The 2nd scenario seems a lot coming from Denver, but they do get better quickly

Denver LineUp
C-Camby
PF-Kenyon Martin
SF-Melo
SG-?DerMarr Johnson?
PG-Marbury

That would be a pretty good lineup. They would need to trade for a shooting guard or sign one for the MLE.

Are you on drugs?

Andre Miller is a decent point guard, he is really nothing special. He isn't a better finisher, shooter, scorer, penetrator and he is overated as a play maker. There is not one thing that he does better than Steph, maybe defense.

Everybody is caught up in the year he led the league in assists on the lowly Cav's and they won 29 games. Andre Miller is average.

I don't think picks 20 or 22 will yield us a player even remotely as good as Marbury. I'd have to say "no way" to this trade.

That too.

Plus Nene, miller and najera add up to nothing special at all. That team really sucks.

Nene is a nice young player, whom I'd love to have on the Knicks. I'd give up any player EXCEPT Marbury to get him.

The best trade that works is Camby, Miller and the Picks for Marbury and we'll give them our #30 or somethin'. We draft someone like Webster, move Crawford to the PG or make him the backup PG or combo guard backup. Denver gets a mega scoring guard who can make other players including Nene and K-Mart shine and he's the guy that can take over for them. We can use picks 20 and 22 to possibly move up. Camby would be a solid defensive presence up front and would make us a much much better team in the weak East.

Not saying Isiah, Kiki and/ or myself would do that, but it's something to think about.

BTW, I don't trust Nene. He seems injury prone and doesn't impress me when I watch him. He's overrated.

He doesn't block/alter or attempt to block enough shots and he doesn't grab enough rebounds either. But he is strong and is developing decently on the offensive end. He also played Duncan decently for a stretch. Having said that I think Ariza's ceiling is higher than his, and even in a trade for crawford I think Crawford is much more talented than him. I can see all-star potential in Crawford, I dopn't see that in Nene.

Having said all of that, I would welcome him gladly to our squad if we got him.

Its not about if the players are going to be as good as Marbury, they are not, but the Knicks are a terrible team with little future and their is no reason to pay almost half the cap to a point guard that can't lead by example and knock down a big shot....

If you have a chance to get Gerald Green, Warrick, and Perhaps Granger in the same draft you do it.....You then can look to move Kurt Thomas and Crawford and go young and let the kids get some experience......

Its a better plan than the one we have in place.....I would like to see what we can get out of Sweetney and then possibly package him

Its time to really look to start over, if we can deal with dallas for Harris, Howard, Wahadd for Marbury i wouldn't be opposed to it if they added their pick, we could package the two and possible move up.....

Nene has barely had any playing time so far. Whenever he gets 35-40 mins he scores 20 and gets 12 rebs. He is a very good defender, rebounder that has the ability to block shots. He is definately a better choice than Sam Dalembert and such.

Milwaukee offered Michael Redd for Nene in a trade at one point this season. Thats where he is rated, on the level of Redd. I really doubt Crawford is as good as Redd is right now. Nene has unbelivable upside. He can turn into an elite Center that can easily rank over Eddy Curry etc. He is constantly improving in every aspect of the game and is showing signs of a post offense. He is 6-11 and 260 lbs and can seriously bang with the best of them.

Oh yea. He is also 22 years old!

the only feasible deal with Denver would be:

Marbury
Lottery Pick

for

Camby
Miller
Nene
20th & 22th pick

I would do that trade from a Knicks standpoint especially since we're getting 2 decent picks in this deep draft with Isiah drafting.

C-Camby/Nene
PF-Sweetney/draft pick/Kurt
SF-TT/Ariza
SG-Crawford/Posey
PG-Miller
