I don't even know if these moves are capable of happening, they hit me though when thinking about Smush Parker, a true point the Knicks desperately crave. Ok, here it goes. Since Chicago will trade it's pick if its not in the top 3 (they couldn't get Ming, Williams, or Woods), they trade that and this year's 2nd rounder to the Knicks for the Knicks first rounder, Knicks 2nd rounder, Allan Houston, and Othella Harrington. They get a perimeter shooter to complement their scoring downlow in Fizer, Curry, Chandler, and now Harrington. Since the Knicks would have the 4th pick now, thy get Dajuan Wagner since Ming, Williams, and Woods go ahead of him. With the Bulls 2nd rounder, they take Smush Parker creating a Philly-type backcourt of a tall point, the 6 4 Parker, who could defend the leagues other 2guards, and a speedy, scoring machine in Wagner, similar to the Snow/Iverson bit they have going for the 6ers. Now, obviously this leaves the Knicks needing a power forward/center so everyone prays that Drew Gooden stays at Kansas for one more year and the Knicks could get him next year. That is possibility one.
The other is the Knicks don't trade their pick, they get Amare Stoudemire, and try to land Parker with the 2nd rounder yet again. First off, how freaking exciting would that tandem be, Amare being the best dunker in this year's draft class and Parker, who was pratically born and raised in Rucker Park, my god, at least it'd be a fun team to watch. Then next year they bank on getting LeBron James.
Either scenario, they form a point/2-guard/powerforward combo that would help them for year's to come. Picking the PF's would enable them to deal Thomas, arguably their MVP on the trading market, and if they didn't do the first deal where they dealt Houston, they could trade Spree if they did the second scenario.
This has all come to me now so there must be a few flaws, so if you've seen any or have any thoughts, post.
