I'm suprised nobody has Houston. I'm not saying he will last the year but doesnt anyone see him coming into camp at least able to play?

I need more information like everyone else. If I had my druthers and optomistic and somewhat realistic pants on I would say. I cant think of one person who would not be atleast reasonable happy with this.

C-Bogut
F-K Thomas
F-Tim Thomas
G-Crawford
G Marbury
C-Taylor
F Sweetney
F Rose
G Ariza
G Nate Robinson

Akindale
JYD

This is actually very optimistic. I would be happy with that. Maybe pick another one instead of Robinson, but thats ok with me.

I threw him in there for 15mins a game if we don't improve the SG position. Any more than would land him back on the IR for the entire season. He's had all this time to rest his knees so he should be ready. the key would be to keep him under 19mins. We have t get something out of his $20mil per year!

I would love that beyond belief, and it would be nice if he could become a 20 minute a game player, but I don't see him as a starter anymore. He's just too gimpy.

I would like to change my "realistic" starting lineup though. I think we are gonna end up with Big Z somehow, and I wont be happy with that.

So:

C- Big Z
PF- Kurt Thomas
SF- Tim Thomas
SG- Crawford
PG- Marbury

I think hoping for the #1 pick is actually more unrealistic than Minnesota wanting to start over by langing Greg Ogden #1 in the draft next year

Minny getting Greg Oden is unrealistic b/c they are gonna change the age limit for NBA players.

Possible starting lineups:

Realistic:

C- K. Thomas
PF- Mo Taylor
SF- T. Thomas
SG- J. Crawford
PG- S. Marbury

Dream:

C- Bogut
PF- Sweetney (in good shape)
SF- J. Johnson
SG- Crawford
PG- Marbury

Nightmare:

C- Sweetney
PF- Rose
SF- T. Thomas
SG- Houston
PG- Marbury

Many possibilities. I don't want the same team, please. We need a break, like winning the lottery...

I think things became pretty clear when Isiah said that he was going into next see without expecting to have Allan Houston playing. He looks like he's having a Jamal Mashburn type of recovery. I think the most optimistic scenario imaginable is that he could handle playing 15 mpg for the rest of his contract.

It would be nice to have Allan has a 15-20 mins 3-point specialist off the bench. If the team that starts next season became a playoff contender, he would add another dimension to the team. But no, not as a starter, not anymore.

I really like Enyspree's idea of trading one of our PF's for James Posey. a 3-guard rotation of Steph,Crawford,Posey would get it done!

Why do people keep saying Joe Johnson? Do you realize we have absolutely no shot at him whatsoever? He's going to command a ton of money, he has earned it. He plays defense, is a terrific passer, shooter, is unselfish, knows how to actually play and is clutch. Can you explain to me what the Suns would take from us that would make up for him? Absolutely NOTHING, unless we won the lottery. And if we did that, I say keep the pick instead and just draft Bogut.

That's why I put him on the Dream lineup. Its a dream, very difficult to happen. Well, actually anything is very difficult for us, so...

Dream, slightly more realistic than getting KG, but still, a dream:

Marbury, Nate Rob (at 30)
Jalen Rose (for Penny), Jamal
Ariza, Jalen plays some, JYD
Warrick (at 8), Sweetney, Malik
Zydrunas (for Kurt, spurs 2k6 pick), Chris Andersen (full MLE)

IR: TT (trade bait), Mo T, Houston.

Prediction of what will actually be:

Marbury, Damon Stoudamire
Jamal, Julius Hodge at 30
TT, Ariza
Taft (at 8), Sweets, Malik
Kurt (never leaving, folks), Mo T

Sigh.

I wouldn't even MIND the prediction, if they could JUST SIGN CHRIS ANDERSEN so we have one legit center somewhere on the roster!

Why Stoudamire?!? Isiah picked him a long time ago. So? This team definitely doesn't need him at any price, even free. Any PG we can take with our 2nd roung pick is good enough to back up Steph. Like he will play a lot of minutes... No Stoudamire!

several papers have mentioned him as a possibility, Damon has said he would love to play for Zeke, he's going to be dirt cheap, Zeke always likes small PGs, and MOST importantly, guess who his agent is?

Aaron Goodwin.

I just feel this happening. I think Zeke is going to address the need for a long SG in the draft and possibly a project big like Blatche with the later picks.

Yeah, we need to upgrade the 5, the backup 5 (and another one, good centers never hurt), get rid of some 4s, get rid of the starting 3, bring a new 3 and bring a backup 2. But Isiah was a point guard, so we need a new one with his blessing. *Sighs* He better have a plan!

Thanks for the info, crzymdups.

Damon would have helped us this year.. especially late in games. Do I want to target him? No, but some 2nd round player from CBB isnt as good as a guy like Damon to backup PG. He can score, handle, shoot, score and score.
