JYD, KT, Rose, Sweets, Taylor.....with a possibility of drafting a big or signing a big via free agency

Something has to be done where at least 2 players get traded.

I personally don't have a preference. They all are good in one aspect of the game. Not one is all that much better the other.

I'm convinced that Memphis needs some muscle inside. They need guys that get after it like some of the players they already have. Plus if Gasol isn't gonna rebound he needs a body guard.

JYD for Posey works under the CBA.

Posey had a injury plagued season but no matter.....he is a NY Knick kind of player. He plays defense and does alot of good things on offense. Memphis has enough players that play his position. They need a rebounder that will play the style that Fratello likes.

Just a thought......any other bright ideas?

very good idea. I'd rather give up Rose but JYD is a better rebounder. Posey would be the perfect perimeter defender this team needs and he can score some and do other things well. This is a much better trade than a trade for Ruben Patterson for example. A 3-guard rotation of Marbury, Crawford, Posey would get it done!

we've gone completely full circle since the Layden days...we once had a roster full of bloated contracts & undesirable veterans w/a glut of 5 PF's...we now have a roster full of bloated contracts & undesirable veterans w/a glut of 5 PF's.

ever see the movie "Groundhog's Day"?

Kurt Thomas and Malik Rose to Portland for Ratliff and their 2nd round pick. Portland would do it. Ratliff has a bad contract and he is not a great player, but I prefer having him as our center than having Kurt Thomas another year.

why on earth does POR do that trade when they're actually taking on MORE longterm salary of 2 veterans when they're looking to go w/youth?

yeha but he is as injury prone as they come. He wont be our starting center and thats why I would not trade for him, under any circumstances. He's not going to play a full season.

I know it's PETER VESCEY, but judging from his article this week, memphis is ready to dismantle starting with Bonzi, pual and swift.

I'm not sure the contracts match up but i would easily throw in a first rounder for gasol or swift package up with TT and Taylor and even ariza.
