What if we kept shandon and got mourning for free like the heat did?

That's our shot blocking center and defensive minded SG.

Would we have been contenders?

I say YES!

Would we have won it all...NOPE.

But we would have been better than the Celtics, Bulls, Wizards and Sixers.

Keeping Shandon wasn't worth it. There would have been yet another guy taking away minutes from Ariza, and to do what? Play decent defense only to turn it over on offense.
(Shandon's not that great of a defender, his D only looks good by comparison to the rest of his game.)

i've watched Shandon play in MIA & he still looks like an overpaid bum to me...the only difference is he's playing alongside a dominant guy like Shaq & Wade

making the playoffs with those boms only to be squashed by the Heat would have been the worst possible thing that could happen to us. Falling to 8 because we HAD to win meaningless games and play MArbury 50 minutes was bad. Thats worse.

Are you serious? The only reason scrubs like Anderson can contribute anything of value is the presence of Shaq and Wade.
