Yeah but he did give up 29 points to Ben Wallace. Ben Wallace??? Has he ever scored 29 points in 2 consective games even? I doubt it.
i had to do a double take on ben's points thinking maybe it was a typo and the points were rasheed's tab.....nice energy player at that position, dalembert could only get better in time.

I think Sam's gonna get a lot more money than he's ever going to prove to be deserving of. I think there's something wrong with the guy, he's too injury-prone, won't work with the coaches, a head case, something. He's the perfect candidate to receive a huge contract and then never earn it.

i don't know. Jerome James is averaging 19.4 pts 11.3 reb 2.4 blocks and shooting 55% through 3 PLAYOFF games at 7-1 270. Guess what, someone, somewhere is sitting with their mLE in hand waiting to offer ot to Mr James. There is a bottom line with anything, and if you PRODUCE that kind of numbers at that size in the playoffs, you are guaranteed to get paid. Dont forget Jerome is 7-1 270. I remember Sugar Ray Leonard used to see its not the first impression its the last impression the juges remember, you want to win the last 30 seconds of a round. If this guy keeps up what he is doing, no one will remember his past failures, but rather his present success.
I'll come back to Foyle and Brian Cardinal. Would you rather spend your mLE on these guys or James? Heck we were trying to get James 3 years ago, remember? Im not hey or ne on anything pertaining to the C spot. Im certainly not a James fan, but I understand this is a business, the Knicks need a C, and there is no barrier to entry. He's a big man and those are big #s. I have to assume Jerome James has jumped WELL up on Isiah's MLE posibilities. I think everyone can understand that, even if you dont like the player.

everything you said briggs is correct but ENOUGH IS ENOUGH (not about you but about this organization). JEROME JAMES IS TREADING WATER. we need to progress. we need to evolve and we need to build. you can look at jerome james a a piece to the puzzle but we have 3-4 more MAJOR pieces to fill also. so why waste the MLE on james, who i think is a bum, when we can give the MLE to hunter/younger guy or heck, just a portion of it to lock up ariza and call it a day.
jerome james is putting up big #'s now, but so did calvin booth one playoff series.
give me 20/10/2.4 for a good 2 month stretch of the season and not up against the same opponent for 3 games in a row.
i know this is a business and he's now on everybody's radar, but i'm through with these type of guys.

If we judged Tim Thomas only for one stretch of the season when he was playing good, you would want to keep him forever because he could be such a superstar. But we know better. No matter if TT has three consecutive games of 31 pts 9 rebs 2 blks, he will still be the loser underachiever he has been throughout his career. Same with some guys, especially centers. Between Foyle or James, I select none. Search for a guy who will really be an improvement, not a 5 million experiment that will not likely work out. We don't need more losers underachievers...

90 mm is a lot for Dalembert. What Erik Dampier is making is fair for Dalembert. The guy currently has no offensive game, but that's not b/c he has no skill, b/c he does have some. He's made a couple of nice moves. He just has no bball IQ on offense and he needs to work on that 10 footer as well. He's out of contention for the Knicks though. We should have gone for him when and if we had the chance.

i think if dampier gets $70, then you give $90 to a 23 year old budding defensive monster at the center position. if he's a bust, everyone will understand b/c he's a center. you're paying for potential just like we did with crawford.
i don't think we ever had a shot at dalembert.
