Nice post man, but it's not 'nuff said, since this same thing, for obvious reasons, happens year after year. Luckily, we have Isiah now, instead of L-dum, so it won't happen to us. But trust me, it will happen to at least two other teams with high picks.

It can happen to anyone. If you think IT can't make mistakes look at the 96 draft:

Marbury,
Allen,
Walker
Bryant
Nash
Jermaine O'Neal
Abdur-Rahim
Stojakovic

All these guys were taken after It drafted Camby. At least 5 of these guys have had better careers then Camby and a case can be made for all of them.

Thankss man, Tired of reading how Isiah drafted Camby with no. 1 pick. How about Damon Staudamire, who went after him?

Dolan that dumb ass hires Laydog cuz he so great in the draft and then handicaps his ass every year out of the draft. (figurativly speaking).

Only an owner would have done the dice trade!

you cant break Isiah's blls about Camby, Camby looked very much like a dominant player and throughout his career has shown flashes of brilliance. he should be DPOY this year. he did have very high draft picks to work with but he drafted very well, some times injuries--like camby, you cant account for that stuff

he did say some stupid sht like he wouldve taken KVH number 1 in 1996 and wouldve taken Mcgrady over Tim Duncan, but those are words, not actions.

we'll all be dumb arses like 2002 arguing for 3 months up to the draft and will come to find out our pick has turned into a vet adn Isiah will say the draft was nt good like last year;>)

Briggs - I think IT has done OK with the draft. I was just refuting the idea that he couldn't make mistakes. The draft is not an exact science - everyone can and does make mistakes.

PS- I think if you look back at '96 you'll see there were people that questioned Camby's durability.

Camby is not an irrelevant "euro" big man who hasn't done sh** in this league. Karl called Camby Denver's only ESSENTIAL player ie. they could not win without him. To compare Camby to the "euro" bigs who inevitably get picked every year and then dissappear is a desparate and telling attempt to change the subject.
