I really doubt Andriuskevicius will go past Portland. ...Why Petro so low? Know something we don't?

Fat May too high, Mcants too high, Paul too low. No way felton goes before Paul! Felton is Tony Delk, Duhan, Paul is Marbury!

Or is that why he drops?

I thought Garcia was staying?

Isiah Thomas would never take Martynas Andriuskevicius. He kind of needs a more NBA ready player. I think it's either going to be Hakim Warrick, Danny Granger or Charlie Villanueva.

Paul won't drop out of the top 3 or 4 and Vazquez shouldn't drop out of the top 10. I think we're either gonna get Splitter or Taft, both of which should be available at our pick.

I doubt that Portland will pass on Acius, but if they do, Isiah can't afford not to draft this big dude. We can always go after Petro and another big. As far as I am concerned, we need to address the frontcourt, I don't care if we draft 3 big men. We don't need to draft a guard, especially if he is not Green

I don't believe so either. Why did I put it on the draft board like that? We'll my hope is that the draft pick doesnt necessarily have to be someone who comes in and has to make an impact. From everything I have looked at, this is NO Fred Weiss, this kid has very impressive physical features, i.e size coordination agility, athletiscm, long arms along with very nice raw skill. I m looking at risk reward at 8. I think his risk is worth the reward--not at 4-5, but 8 yes. If he comes in and puts forth great workouts and they can see this guy will be a force with work on his body, how can we pass on him? our tallest player is 6-8! I really dont care if he plays for a 1 year. Thats enough time to work on his body and skills. Has anyone followed the career path of Nenad Kristic? He was actually not playing that well in Europe up until he came over here this year, only in spurts. Very similar #s to Martynas at same age--why they don't play kids, they dont want these guys coming over here at 18-19 and embarassing euro basketball. He's a kid, but Im looking at the body of work that he put in at under 18 euro--where Bogut got his first recognition as well, and Martynas was dominant well above anyone. Evene if we take a look at a few game stints this year 11 points 7 reb 6 blocks in 19 minutes? This guy is a true 218cm a real C. There is no Michael Jordan at 8. Hakim Warrick and Charlie V have as much[or possibly more] bust potential than Martynas. If the Knicks want to play it safe, they probably go with Granger Taft or Wright. But you have to take chances--this guy could be a 1 pick in 2 years and a clear cut franchise player. and if hes not, well you took a valid risk. no one is going to say fred weiss, if they do, they do not know basketball.

Atlanta is going to sign and obtain either Dalmebert or Chandler. If they do that they will not draft Bogut, I could see them trading down a spot or two and getting paul...

There is absolutely no way that Chris Paul does not go in the top 3. Charlotte is looking for a guy to put a stamp on their franchise and who better to do it then a kid who played just down the road at Wake Forest and they are in dire need of a PG. Plus he's probably the most pro-ready player in this draft. He's everything that you want in a pointguard

I like your idea of May in Golden State though. It would be quite interesting to see GS add a lowpost player like May in addition to all the swingmen they have, looks like Mullin has really done a nice job assembling that roster.

I agree with a few other posters, I dont think Isiah is going to take this Martynas kid ESPECIALLY if Taft is on the board, theres just no way. I think Ive made my stance known on Taft now for the past 3 months so I won't get into that again

I still feel for the fans of any team that drafts Deron Williams in the top10 let alone pick #4, your in for a fat PG who doesnt do anything on offense especially well except chuck up 3's. His defense is good but is he a all-defense player in the NBA, don't know, he's like a tree-trunk out there. Basically he's Bruce Bowen(defense and 3pt shooting) except fatter and is it worth taking Bruce Bown with the 4th pick of the draft? I don't think so.

Chris Paul is the biggest star potential PG in the draft he's going in the top 4. no question about it? What do you not like about him Briggs?
or did you not see him playas much as deron and felton? every mock draft in the world knows Paul is going early. It is common knowledge to everyone that he is the best PG in the draft.

Warrick, Vazquez and Taft will likely go a lot sooner. I don't think May will go in the top 10

i don't see any way Isiah would pass up Taft if he was still on the board at the #8 pick.

he might even take Chris Paul w/the #8 pick if he plans on trading Marbury.

You have Webster and Green going too high. Paul will be the #3 pick, Williams will go #4 to #6, Andriuskevicius will fit in there somewhere. A Question you have to ask.. is Martell Webster better than Granger right now? Does he have more upside?

No Offense, but Gomes.. the only reason he's being discussed on this board is him playing in the Big East. The guy is over-rated and one dimensional. Lawrence Roberts would eat his lunch.. he's bigger, more athletic, and has some attitude.

This Mock is a variation... and the effort is appreciated.. do your homework on Lawrence Roberts though.. he was very impressive against Sheldon Williams (and I know your high on him).

Is this a draft based on just who you feel should go next or the needs of each team?I don't see how you put thought into the needs of each team.

I don't see Isiah signing that Euro kid, Martynas Andriuskevicius.

I started a thread that was ignored about this kid.http://ultimateknicks.com/forum/topic.asp?t=9062

There is no way that Isiah will draft this kid if Taft is still available. I could see him draft Johan Petro before this Martynas charecter.

I don't see how giving a young european a chance is the smarter risk.
