I was just looking over the standings, and in all probability the Knicks will probably finish in the 7th place, so chances are they won't go below the 7th pick, which isn't that bad because I was looking over top prospects that would help the Knicks: C-Yao Ming PG-Jason Williams SG/SF-Qyntel Woods PF-Chris Wilcox PF/SF-Drew Gooden SG-Dajuan Wagner PF-Amare Stoudemire SF-Caron Butler C-Curtis Borchardt
So there are 9 guys that will help the Knicks in the long run and the majority of them look to have All-Star/Superstar potential. At least they'll get something out of this pick, unless they mess it up and take Jared Jeffries, or maybe Fredric Weis, or something, if Layden messes this up they should have a "Kick Scott Layden Night" @ MSG next year when the Knicks are in the cellar again. It could be sponsored by UltimateKnicks.com and every fan and person within a 10 block radius of MSG gets to kick Scott Layden for all the troubles he's put us through. Not a bad idea, eh? Eh? If he messes this up there will be a riot. Images of David Stern: "..and with the 14th pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, the Minnesota Timberwolves select William Avery of Duke, the New York Knicks are now on the clock" CROWD: Cheers. Ron Artest chants break out. Announer: Will Ron Artest be able to stay @ MSG and become a Knick, his lifelong dream. David Stern: "..and with the 15th pick in the 1999 NBA Draft, the New York Knicks select Fredrec Veis of Limonges, France."
Ron Artest started to cry, claiming they were "tears of joy" even though we all know he wanted to punch every member of Knick management for botching that one. I'm so excited baby, LETS GO KNICKS, KEEP ON LOSIN'!
