I like Fatih Solak from Turkey. He's big and raw, which is what you look for in the second round.

supposedly he's 1st rounder quality - check: http://www.nbadraft.net/

I like the way you think though.

Jiri Welsch 6-6 205 PG/SG (Czech Republic) 1980
DeAngelo Collins 6-9 230 PF Inglewood HSSr.

would be good second rounders for us. I don't want us to grab anymore SG's in the second round or undersized PF's...

I would like to take someone who might be a steal, I don't care if it's a gamble. Like if it's between a guy like Juan Dixon, a proven college player, or a gamble like Jiri Welsh or DeAngelo Collins, I'd rather go with the latter in hopes of having them improve instead of getting yet another roleplayer who isn't going to be making a lot of strides in his game.

I agree with u! Let's use our econd-rounder wisely and try to draft the next Cuttino Mobley or Rashard Lewis. I wouldn't mind see us draft that DeAngelo Collins guy. Looks like he has a lot of potential and could be a player unlike Eric Chenowith or J.R. Koch.

I don't think Solak will be a first rounder. I see Ming, Marcus, Brochardt, Sampson, Gadzuric, and Jennings going before him for centers. Solak is predicted as a second rounder by most because nobody knows anything about him. I think some say he could turn out like a Jake Tsakalidis or someone like that. I would love a player like that.

right now, jersey can afford to take solak on potential, as there are no other big guys they'd rather take on potential. Shmuel Dalembert was a projected 2nd rounder and was taken on potential last year by philly. late 1st round pick - you can afford to gamble. always go for the height. can't teach it.

and yeah, i don't want us taking a proven Juan Dixon with a ceiling on his game with our second rounder, i'd rather take a guy with upside - a foreigner or a HS'er whose been worked out by us, not another Ousmane Cisse - someone listed at PF and 6'9" but really 6'6".

Well since the second rounder is high the KNicks could get someone who slips from the first round.

For a second rounder the Knicks could possibly take Smush Parker if he declares and falls out of the first round. He's an amazing 6'4" PG and whoops buttocks.

I'm slightly against Jiri Welsh, he's too slow to play PG in the NBA and the Knicks are fully stocked on SG's as it is. DeAngelo Collins would be a sweet pickup though, the guy looks ready to play now in hte league physically and hopefully his game will grow. Uche Okafor could be a good pickup as well, a raw talented Nigerian center.

Totally, Uche could be a good second round pick.

Vincent Yarbrough is slipping, fast! He would be a great 2nd round pick.
We suck.

That's what Red Auerbach did with Larry Bird, but can we do that if James hasn't even declared?
