I know he gets mixed reviews on this board but I always thought he was and excellent coach. I'm glad to see Houston doing well so far.

His bailing on us to me was ok. He should have done it before the season, but gave it a try.

Jeff if he can get these guys to the conf. finals he would have succeeded well. They are playing with no set PF. Funny, we got a ton of them!

Jeff needed to move on, he was seen as the assistant who moved up by circumstance and needed his own gig. I wish him well and hope he gets his ring!

But not at hour expense. Some how I think we don't have to worry about at Rockets-Knick Final for a few more years!

I'm impressed with the changes Houston made to their roster- wesley & james giving them a shot when they need it.

I'm impressed with the way van gundy has turned the corner with the team- I thought earlier in the season they were underperforming.

But of late, anytime I turned to a rocket game, they were up ten without fail.

Poor Mavericks!

a coach will look very good when you have talents like tmac and yao on the team. but the major props should go to the GM for putting together a squad that fits together. from sura, mike james, barry, bowen, and padgett - you have a bunch of role players that are scrappy, fiesty, and play hard all the time. that drive comes from van gundy as tmac credited him last night.

coaching is important but so is getting the right talent in here also. so far, we have neither.

That'd be so awesome if Houston could win the championship, I'd be so happy for Big Pat and Jeff. Jeff is a serious workaholic and deserves a championship, I wish he was still coaching here

how do you know JVG didn't have a say in bringing these JVG type winning pieces?

Houston is very dangerous. Especially when Yao shoots 14-15 from the field. Good thing LAyden took 100 trips to China.
As for JYD I would have quit too.
