Come to think of it, I'm sure Isiah was scouting Petro on Sunday when he had this good game.

1 block in 14mins against Euro competition is not a good game

how about 14 pts and 6 rebs in 14 minutes?

Nazr whether its 14mins or 28mins it doesn't change the fact that its 1 block
Name one Knick who's averaged 1 block every 14 minutes since Camby left?

that's ridiculous, man. Players need minutes to produce. You were just complaining about Ariza's minutes!

How many blocks would you like in 14 minutes? You think Camby would've had 4 blocks in 14 minutes last night?

no but he would've had at least 2

crawford can pick up a block in 14mins. does it mean he's a shotblocker?

camby, chandler, hunter all can pick up a lot more than 1 block in 14mins

this is a ridiculous statement. Anyone CAN pick up more than 1 block in 14 minutes, but look at the minutes they play and the blocks they average. One block in 14 is 2ppg in 28 minutes. You're being overly negative right now. All of those guys average about 1. something blocks per game except Camby who is at 3, so cut it out.

but good shotblockers don't pick up a block every 14mins. they block a shot then they feel they can block anything and go on to block 3 more shots in 1 quarter.

They change the momentum of the game and get crucial blocks! That is a good shotblocker like a camby, chandler, hunter

And one block in 14 minutes equals 3 blocks in 42 minutes. find the list of players in the league who averaged over 3 blocks and get back to me. I don't like doing stats projections on a per minute basis, but when you say a guy who blocks one shot in 14 minutes isn't a shot blocker, I mean, that's just ridiculous. Did you see the game? How many shots did he alter?

As for the Nazr comment, he went for 15 and 15 with 4 blocks last night, so apparently, when he has some help, he's a decent player.

what are you talking about?

then, can you explain why NO ONE IN THE ENTIRE NBA blocked more than 3.5 shots per game this year? you'd think if they could "easily block 3 shots per quarter when they felt like it" SOMEONE would averaged maybe 4 BLOCKS PER GAME?

gimme a break dude.

EDIT: no one has averaged more than 3.4 blocks PER GAME in the last 3 years.

I like how you use "Euro" as a pejorative, when Euro teams beat the crap out of American teams in the Olympics. Also, Euro basketball involves more outside shooting and less posting up and less guards driving to the basket, so it stands to reason there would be less shotblocking in general.

When you make a ridiculous assertion, and the numbers don't add up, you should admit you were being overly critical, and not try to change the parameters. You were wrong, Guns. It even happened to me, like once in my life before.

And furthermore, with what i have seen from him, I wouldn't give a damn if he was 6-10 or 7 feet, he was very Amare-esque in those clips and any way you shake it, we could use him.

How do you know he is not 7 feet? You are once again changing parameters to make yourself right. You don't know he isn't 7 feet anymore than anyone else here. If you want to base your everything on the 'idea' that he isn't 7 feet, fine, just stop trying to pass it off as fact. You don't believe he is 7 feet and that doesn't make you right.

And you don't know what he would be in the league. All I knoww is from what I saw, he has size and atheleticism that was very reminiscet of Amare.

I have a problem with people making assertions like they flew over to europe with Isiah and personally measured the guy at practice. Knock it off. You still haven't admitted your other assertion about 1 block in 14 mins was ridiculous, and it was.

if he is 7ft 260 then why is he's listed as a PF/C and not just C?

I dont have to measure him to see that he's thinner and shorter than the [Euroleague] players he's on the floor with

Do you know the height of those players? And if he is 6-11 is that such a big deal. and I really don't know how you can see that watching a clip where guys are not even standing straight up. How tall do you think he is?

And when are you gonna admit that your assertion about 1 block in 14 minutes was off base?

Splitter is 6'11 and 3/4 in shoes.

Petro would be lucky to be 6-10 220-230
