ho would do this? I know the salaries don't match, but i could see phoenix wanting to do this, and we could definitely use him. I guess it all boils down to whether you think Ariza will be better than Joe Johnson or not. I can't call it, but at this point I would consider it and try to pry a pick from them. whaduya think? BTW, I am no longer really keen on trading ariza, but for JJ or bobby simmons, it makes some sense. Our best player is 28 and if we can get mature developed players who aren't super costly, it makes sense to me. We could make a run making smart moves like this.

JJ at 6'7 is only 23 and he averaged during the regular season: 17.1 PTS, 5.1 Rebounds, 3.5 AST, shooting 46% from the floor & whopping 48% from 3. Ariza will likely be a better defender, but JJ has so much to contribute to any team.

And you want to pry a pick from them as well?

What are you smoking, dude? It's gotta be some good stuff...

I'll admit I'm pretty bias towards Ariza. I do like JJ, but it would take more than him for me to want to trade Trevor. (Like I said, I'm bias...I would probably keep saying 'no' until it's something you absolutely can't reject.)

I like ariza also, but JJ is a fine player, ariza has more value to us now than what we will get from any team for him, because he is still young and improving. JJ is proven, and IMO is probably the 3rd best player on the suns. the suns can get a heck of a lot more for him than just ariza, now lets revist this back in 3 years, maybe we have a fair trade....

dont worry about joe johnson, hes going to get either very close, or a max contract, there is no WAY we have anything that they would want.

When you suggest a deal, look at what the cap numbers will be--JJ is going to get a contract thats starts out at 10mm--that means we have to trade 10mm back to Pheonix. we dont have 1 player on the entire squad that they want.
