Frank Isola's article in today's Daily News on the home page says it all. Back in 1999 Jax considered going to the Nets when Marbury was on the team. He stated then that if he came, he wanted to trade Marbury. So maybe trading Marbury isn't such a bad idea now. We all know how Isiah has a crush on his "boy" but desperate times call for desperate measures. What could we get for Steph if we could work this deal out?
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

first off, frank isola is also an idiot donkey. just had to say that.

if dolan is ready to hand the keys over to phil, then EVERYONE is fair game, including isiah. so i think phil will be wined and dined, but ultimately not sign here unless he's given carte blanche. just based PURELY on the roster and management, there's ZERO reason for him to come here just to be the coach b/c there's NOTHING to coach. if he comes, it'll be a reclamation project where he's the man picking his own players since the players already here aren't that good.

Confidence is my watch word my friend. That is what we are lacking as a team. If they could ever develop a little confidence, this team would still be playing this season. We've lost more than 30 games by less than 3 points, that is bad. Poor coaching, lack of confidence, and most of all, lack of conditioning, are all the reason why we are out of contention.

If he can find a way to trade Marbury for Lebron, he's got the job. Seriously, I wonder if it could really happen: Jax coming here and trading Marbury. His system isn't for offensive minded PG's, so...

Ive been thinking the same thing.I cant see them working together.Phil Jackson comes here and we will get players that actually want to come to NY and not just using us to up their price.
If Dolan wants to make him GM/Coach thats fine with me as well.

Phil will not be here, Thats a fact!!! If Marbury is still with the Knicks, the team will continue to fall into mediocrity...

THey need to draft a nice pg(either deron williams or raymond felton) in this coming draft and trade Marbury who is their only star value player for a bonifide frontcourt player...

I dunno if Starbury will be traded. I think Stephon will be around this year. I dont think this guy is getting traded this year.
