damn, so now we pick 8th instead of 7th, and have less of a chance at the overall number 1... Great going herb and IT....

great going IT. Herb did his job. If his boss said to play JB for 20 minutes he would have. Plain and simple.

I cant help but to think this is an omen of things to come. This team is so mismanaged. We are all hoping that good luck will undo what this management does. Reality is that teams that are run poorly are poor teams.

You make your own breaks and luck sometimes.

I am wondering why IT just didn't tell herb to play ariza, butler and sweetney most of the minutes the last 5 games, I mean IT is not that stupid to realize that these games were meaningless. I wonder if he has a player in mind that he knows he can get with pick 8 or later or if he has plans of trading down for additional picks...

I have a feeling every GM in the league is going to be calling Isiah, trying to unload their deadweight, malcontents, damaged goods etc..for that 8th pick. They know an easy mark when they see one.

Ill say one thing, draft day will be interesting to watch.I wonder how the crowd is going to treat Isiah?

you guys are idiots...the important thing here is that we competed & finished above a bad team like the Raptors...it's something to build upon for next year.

How was the tie breaker determined? I thought there was a thread earlier that described the rules stating that if two teams were tied the even split the # of ping pong balls, meaning that we and Toronto would each get an equal #.

I'm pissed as anyone else right now. However, things could be worse. The only way I can really see Toronto screw us over is by taking Gerald Green if he falls to 7, which I don't think will happen.

Anyway, here's to hoping that we get into the top 3...

why wouldn't they take Green at #7? he'd be a nice young talent to put next to Bosh for that 1-2 combo...especially w/Vince being gone, they'll need an exciting player to draw fans to the games...they're not going to take some unknown euro kid, i think you can bank on that.

A coin toss happens to determine which team gets an extra ping pong ball. The team that wins the coin toss gets one more ball than the other team. This means that if neither team breaks the top 3, than the team that wins the coin toss gets the higher pick (pick 7 in our case) and the other team gets the lower pick (pick 8 in our situation).

They would definitely take Green at 7. Like I said, I think thats the only way they could screw us over. But I don't think it will happen because I don't see Green falling that far unless Utah selects someone like Deron Williams and the Blazers take someone like Marty A.

Yea, I think Toronto could take someone like Felton which is why I don't think them picking at 7 will hurt us that much. If Green falls to them, then we're screwed. Hopefully, that won't happen.

Yeah they would love to draft someone that can replace Carter's high wire act.
