First and foremost, I know this is a dream scenario and that Lebron is from Akron, Ohio which is close to Cleveland that right now he is playing where he wants to be. Ok now that I have that out of the way...
So far today on the WFAN Francessa and Russo have been talking alot about Lebron coming to NY once his deal is up with Cleveland in 2 years. I know these guys know nothing about the NBA game but they did hit on a few pretty good points.

If Cleveland is still a mess after next year, he might have his eyes set on New York becuase his contract with Nike calls for a HUGE salary increase in that contract for hs playing in New York. As a few people have said before on this forum if Lebron keeps cementing himself as the best player in the NBA that he might want to take his game to either LA or NY to be in the huge media market, obviously him going to the Knicks would be more beneficial because of the clause in his Nike contract.

With all the problems that the new Cleveland owner has already started after JUST ACQUIRING the team, I really can see Lebron leaving Cleveland. The fact that he gets the clause in his Nike contract which would make up for the money he would lose from not getting a max contract might be enough for him to take a mid-level contract with the Knicks for a few years before they can sign him to the max deal. Again I know this is a scenario that might seem far-fetched but if Lebron wants it bad enough and he's already said how much he likes playing the Garden then this could be a realistic scenario.

And just to add a little spice to this thread, if the Knicks sign Phil Jackson to coach here then you can bet your @$$ that he might know something about this becuase he will want to coach Lebron, who could go down as one of the all-time greats. Phils signing with the Knicks could also get Lebron here just for the fact. Lebron scratches Phils back and Phil scratches Lerons back... as weird as that may sound haha.

a big part of the reason why i want a coach w/caché like Phil, Riley or Brown is because marquee players want to play for guys like that...that's not to say that there's any truth to these rumors that Lebron will demand a trade to NY anytime soon, but there's no denying that great players want to play for great coaches...let's not mess around w/anymore interim guys who are only going to be puppets for Isiah Thomas.

yeah the speculation of getting Lebron might also make Phil even more intrigued to coach the Knicks!

Just think about this for a second. Triple double machine at 20yrs old Lebron playing for our Knicks.....WOW!!!!! it would be unreal!!!
