over a 48 minute period his numbers were 31 points 18 rebounds 2 blocks 2 assits 4/7 from 3 9/15 from 2

of course this is a culmulative over 5 games, but its a good indicator IMHO, of what this kid will be able to do once he is physically up 2 playing 40 minuts of nBA basketball. This is the main euro league, not juniors, the top. He didnt play much during the reg season, but it seems that way for all guys 18-19, theyre just not allowed to play.

From what i have read, he picked his game up so much in practice, that they couldnt keep him out. He was hitting everything from 3s to dominating the paint, and so they let him play and he responded great.

This also leads me to firmly believe he can be a player who will need very little coddling time, a guy we can use immediately off the bench in year one and quite possibly a starter by year 2.

I cant equate anything we have in the line up now with wher AB would play, perhaps F, maybe a guy who just replaces TT as a F, but can also play 5 and 4--obviously he can rebound and block shots, hes got a long wingspan and he can really shoot the ball-seems very much like a real team player. This is a very exciting player, a player that I beleive now would rate well over Green IMHO. In a legue devoid of 7 footers, to claim obe that has the potential to be a mega star is a no-brainer. we have guards we need intimidators and a guy who can replace TT long term at 3.

That why i Like the 7-1 250 260? Akindale at 53, I think hes ours there and we can bring him along on a 2 year plan while playing him in spots.

After all of these years of being small--i want to be BIG, i think we can all agree that we dont want to be undersized anymore.

yea... good write up. I think he's the highest rated prospect (foreign) for the 2006 draft. Maybe a big end to his season will change his tune. Possibly he comes out with a top 10 guarentee which we could offer.

I hear you on the size. When you have playmakers like we do with Crawford and Marbury it makes less skilled bigs look pretty solid.

I think we pretty far from being good and just want a guy that can be a bigtime player for years to come. I want a tough guy with superior athleticism.

Is there video? I'm very skeptical of someone I've never seen. Also, I really don't think Zeke is going to take someone who won't get playing time next year. Zeke is going to look for someone who can come in and play. He's told people he thinks he has another year to start a turn around. That doesn't mean having a good young'un stashed on the bench, it means having an impact rookie in the starting lineup.

This is why I think he'll target Taft, Warrick and maybe a few others with the lotto. I'd be shocked if he drafted a project.

This is the problem with "rebuilding" in New York. Zeke knows that if the Knicks tank next year - he's gone. He has to produce results, which mean taking the most ready kid in the draft. I could see him taking Fran Vasquez, because he's 6'10" and 22 years old and putting up huge numbers, but not some 18 year old Darko pt2.

I'm not saying I'm against it, just that I don't see it happening.

I don't know about that, Zeke is a very shrewd man, he would not just draft a player just for the hell of it. If he truly believes that a kid has what he is looking for he will draft him...If he can find a 7' or 6'11" that can score and block shots, he will go for that kid. After all, he had that tall kid from Indy who is never healthy.

I agree. the only way I take a foreign player if if he's a 7'5 dominant 18yr old like Yao or someone with a little professional experience at 21-22 years old and have had big games for their teams like Vazquez/Splitter
