Must be official!

No grey market pukeing for me. Certified grade "A" vomit for this trooper! Will even take it chunky, but you'l want a spoon to get each drop!

Gotta have some brains to spew also! Not much to spare, but if its "official", its good to the last drop!

two worst names on the list

antoine walker
al harrington

if we somehow acquire these players I will officially puke my brains out.

i'd be jumping for joy if Isiah got Al Harrington...both because i like him as a player & i want to see you puke your brains out.

i know you'd prefer your guy Shareef Abdur Rahim...personally i think Harrington fits better since he actually plays D, & he has the right type of intensity & attitude that fits in well w/what we're lacking right now...we don't need anymore passionless guys who play no defense like Tim Thomas on this team...that's how i view Rahim...add him to the "NO THANKS" list for me.

Rahim, come on, maybe 7 PFs ago. We dont need a PF unless he is 6-11 +

Al Harrington had problems with his knee again, the same knee he tore his ACL. But that was only part of the issue. Apparently, he was such an arsehole that they benched him the rest of the way. He is no defender, he is a version of antonie walker. There is a REASON why Larry Bird dumped him, and its funny, you put Walker and Harrington together with some real nice rokies and they won 13 games. Get the picture:>)

Is Finley still on this list? Did anyone see how much he still has left after watching last night's game? I still wouldn't give up a lot to get him, but I'd take his contract off Dallas's hands if they wanted to free up cap room

finley's contract is death, not only in $$$'s (which you don't really care about) but years as well.

i year of finley now is not worth 3 years of finley after it. we need so many pieces, that going after these older big contract players is not the route we should be pursuing.
How do you know Finley has one good year and 3 bad years left in him? You're just guessing. It could just as easily be the reverse. No one (other than Fish sarcastically) is talking about giving up a lot for him. I definitely wouldn't give up the lottery pick or an expiring contract for him.

come on bro - why do you want to bring in a 30+ year old sg/sf perimeter player here that makes that much money? please tell me why?

btw, there is NOBODY i would give up for finley right now other than allan houston. so if that's the deal, where do i sign? other than that, i'm not moving anyone for him - jyd, mo, malik, i'd rather keep them.

I don't think we're too far apart then. You'd give up Houston for him. There are a few other 30+ yr olds who are inferior basketball players who I would also give up that you wouldn't. That's the only difference. I'd give up Kurt + JYD. Then we have more balanced roster, a dependable 2nd scorer, and a free roster spot to keep the player we pick at 53 or sign an undrafted player. It's not that I desperately want Finley or anything remotely close to that. But I wouldn't mind trading two inferior 30 year olds for one 30 year old who's still performing at a high level. Dallas could also use the frontcourt big men much more than Finley because they already have a ton of SG/SFs.
However, I'd still prefer to do a Penny or TT for Jalen Rose plus pick #16 deal, in which case Finley and Rose would be too redundant.

I actually don't understand why Dallas would want to trade Finley. As a matter of fact, I never heard from anywhere that they do.

why pay a guy $14 mil when you have josh howard doing a better job making a fraction of that?

They also have Marquis Daniels and Jerry Stackhouse. If they want to become a championship team, they're going to need more balance. They have four very good SG/SFs when they really need only two. Maybe they would want to get rid of the most expensive one.

To shed light on the question raised about Ray Allen, I'll list some of his career stats;
PPG - 20.6
FG % - .446
3PT % - .397
FT % - .884
RPG - 4.7
ASST - 3.9
Ray Allen's a player. For the right trade and for a contract that doesn't stretch out into eternity, I'd be very tempted to do a deal.

That's not bad, but how about this:
Round 1 this year:
32.4 PPG
5.2 APG
4.6 RPG
2.00 SPG
7 FTA PG
He's still playing the best ball of his career.
His round 2 numbers would be almost as good if he hadn't left early due to injury in one game.

I still wouldn't give up Marbury or our lottery pick for him because SG isn't a dire need and because he's 28 or 29.

Guys, if you're watching tonight, you're seeing Ray just taking it to Tim Duncan. Taking it - TO TIM DUNCAN.

I love Marbs, but as I've said before, Ray's got all the intangibles that we always bemoan are missing in Marbs. I'd make that straight up trade in a second.

Now having said that, I also want to say that I wouldn't add Ray's salary to the team for expiring contracts. I don't think thatts the right move for this franchise. But straight up for existing long-term ones - absolutely.

Well I've seen Marbury take it right at Duncan and other superstars too. Marbury actually drew more FTAs this year. I don't think Ray has better intangibles than Marbury. A lot of people criticize Ray for not doing dirty work. They're both about average on defense IMO, even though critics love to tear apart both players' defense. I'd only want Ray if he were playing alongside Marbury not playing instead of Marbury on the Knicks. Marbury's also been healthier over the last few years.

thanks for finding this thread.

My NO THANKS list:
1 - Darius Miles (baby)
2 - Rafer Alston (baby)
3 - Kwame Brown (baby)
4 - Zach Randolph (knee, contract & attitude)
5 - Zydrunas Ilgauskas (slow, doesn't fit Isiah's vision)
6 - Michael Olowakandi (bust)
7 - Jerome James (Erick Dampier part 2)
8 - Ray Allen (shades of Allan Houston)
9 - Antoine Walker (doesn't fit Isiah's vision)
10 - Damon Stoudamire (not interested in another small G that plays no D)
11 - Bonzi Wells
12 - Shareef Abdur Rahim

wow, i was hook, line & sinker in on "Isiah's vision" back then... after all this time it's alarming to note that i can't even figure out what that vision is anymore.

Well, as bad as it may be, at least we don't have Kandiman, Kwame, and/or cuz-there-aint-no-4-pointer-Walker.
