Dewayne JOnes, the young man from St Jo has declared. He is young and hungry, most of all, he block shots. I don't know if he is really a 6'11" dude, but I like the fact that he can block shots and grab rebounds. He is a little light to play Center, but that shouldn't be an issue. If we can't get one of the top picks, we can easily find someone in the second round that will be able to answer our needs, especially with Agwire. This kid has some excellent numbers

YR GMS MIN FGM FGA FTM FTA 3PM 3PA PTS OFF DEF TOT AST TO STL BLK
04-05 36 1254 115 227 133 248 0 0 363 156 262 418 31 75 13 109

Jones was fifth in the nation in rebounding with 11.6 a game and fifth in blocked shots with 3.0. He was the Hawks' third-leading scorer with 10.1 a game while becoming the first player since 1995-96 to average a double-double at the school.

right now Im sticking with

7 Bargnani 7-0 225 F

30 the best player available that falls--i would take Rashad McCants here in about 1 second if he did fall, but impossible to detremine

pick 53 Deji Akindale 7-1 245 C--raw but more upside than any other player we can get at that spot. Can play right now sa a back up. Huge man, maybe more like 265.

Im not assuming any trades or moving up any more. Im dealing with what we have.

Id like to acquire Darius Miles for the SF, perhaps Darius Joel Pryzbila and Ruben Patterson for Tim Thomas and SA' pick next year

yeah, I like Akindale too. I hope that we get lucky. There will be so much talents available in this draft, there is no way an agressive GM like Isiah who has worked so hard scouting will fail to get us what we need. It may take a couple of our boys more than next year to prove that they are worthy, but we will be stocked from top to bottom for a long time.

Briggs - Did Bargnani declare for the draft yet? Do you like him better than Vazquez and/or Splitter?

I don't se Bargnani yet on the mock drafts. Would like to read more about him...

Isiah is scouting for a reason...I think that he already has someone from the European league that he is hot for...

This whole scenario drastically improves the outlook of our team.

Look: Frye or Bynum/Akindale/Petro/or Taft, two of those names can be in our roster next season....That would be a drastic change from a roster that was full of player no taller than 6'9"

I don't like the suggestion of bringing in Boozer...The only way I would do this deal is if and only if we will get Okur also. We need to have a total of 3 real Centers on our roster next season. Okur can be the starter with Boozer...

I think Taft will be grabbed before the 30th pick.

sad to say, but I do believe that he will be gone also...I also think that Taft will be the star of this draft...

If the deal is official, look for Isiah to invest all of our picks on drafting big for real...
