I was tinkering with the trade simulator at realgm.com and I got a trade that would work between New York and Portland. Here it is:

Knicks Receive:
PF/C in the east Dale Davis and
PG Rod Strickland

Portland Receives:
PG Charlie Ward
C Travis Knight
and the rights to center Frederic Weis

The trade ID is: 358014 check it out for yourselves

If its true that Dale has been complaining about minutes, and Portland felt there was no way to sign Strickland but would consider a sign and trade then this could be an option for them to look at.
If the Knicks could move another enigma in Weis who has asked to be traded previously and still move Ward and gain an experienced bruiser in Davis then this can be looked at as a positive offseason.
Im going to find a way to move action jackson. Stay tuned.

I found a way to move Mark. It wouldn't bring us much, but It would bring us three players with potential and possibly a future superstar power forward, not to mention clears the logjam at the point guard position.

NY gets:
PF Marcus Fizer
PG A.J. Guyton
C Jake Voskuhl

Chicago gets
PG Mark Jackson

ID: 358058

Knicks roster next year
Big guys:
Dale Davis
Marcus Camby
Kurt Thomas
Larry Johnson
Clarence Weatherspoon
Marcus Fizer
Jake Voskuhl

Small Guys
Allan Houston
Latrell Sprewell
Shandan Anderson
Rod Strickland
Howard Eisley
A.J. Guyton
Lavar Postell
And it all works under the cap
Marcus Fizer
Jake Voskuhl

There is no way we're getting Fizer for Jax. The Bulls have already traded Brand, they're not going to trade Fizer.

No one thought they would draft two highschoolers either. The bulls believe they actually have a chance to be competitive this year, and with the injury to Jamal Crawford that leaves them with Greg Anthony who is coming off of an injury from last year and A.J. Guyton. Also if you look at their big guys Brad Miller, Charles Oakley, Eddy Curry, then maybe Fizer, and Chandler; you see that Fizer has been overlooked by this organization, I don't see Chicago giving us that huge of a gripe about sending us Fizer who is about 4th or 5th on their depth chart for a starting point guard.

Well St-Jean (Warriors GM) has said he won't trade Foyle for Ward but bskball.com says the Wizards "are seriously considering a move that would send White to the Knicks for Charlie Ward and a future Knicks draft selection".

I'd hate to think that Layden doesn't already have something planned so that we don't end up with 3 point guards on our roster that deserve playing time. I'd approve of the White trade over Foyle. More offensive polish.

Agreed, I'd take Jahidi over Foyle. I think more people fear Jahidi than Foyle also. That'd be a great move, seriously. Get's us younger, more pieces to pull off a major move. Just real sweet.
