Good question. Toine is such a unique player in the league that this trade would have to come in conjunction with a specific coach. You can't just take on Toine and hope it works out - he has to be part of a larger plan.

Blount, by the way, is underrated - he's not so bad, and would be a good 12th man.

"I'm not only president of the NO THANKS CLUB, I'm also a client."
- Antoine Walker

This should not even be a question. Walker is far and away one of the worst players we could possibly acquire. Thank God Boston seems about to lock him up so Isiah doesn't get any smart ideas.

And, taking Blount in order to get Walker? Gads, that's like slitting your wrists to alleviate the pain of crushing your head on a rock. Or like paying someone $10,000 to rob your house.

Again, the only player I would trade to get a high price guy like Toine or Wally is Kurt. I would trade Kurt and Malik to Boston for Toine, because Toine gives us another dimension. He can handle the ball really well and pass and rebound as well as Kurt....He is a much better talent than Kurt and Malik combined.....

I'd rather have SAR than Toine. I thik toine is very talented, but I am somehow very skeptical he would work out on this team. I agree he is a very unique talent and the right coach has to accompany his arrival, or things could get crazy.

When we finish making the No thanks list, please be sure to send it to Isiah because I fear those are the guys he loves, like Mo Taylor...

Mo ain't Barkley, but he's been nice since wearing orange. It's KT and Herb that need to go.

Hasn't Toine been helping the Celtics win? He, Garnett, and Odom are the only five position players in the league. He's got a number of weaknesses but they're outweighed by his strengths. I don't think Blount is the terrible player a number of you are making him out to be. I recall a year ago many posters here were hoping we'd sign him, actually. He basically is an excellent backup center or slightly below average starting center with an MLE contract (i.e., the contract of the average NBA player).
