No....ask Isiah. He is the one that makes those types of decisions. Herb coaches to win unless told otherwise.

You have proof that Isiah hasn't asked him to give more PT to the bench players?

I think it's obvious Isiah hasn't asked. It doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

that reasoning certainly wouldn't stand up in a court room but you're free to believe you know anything you want to believe you know

I don't believe I know everything and you don't have to act obnoxious. It just takes common sense. If Isiah told Herb to start tanking and play the kids more, like Butler and Ariza and heck, Bruno, why would Herb deny that? Is Herb stupid? I don't think so. Herb is a brand new head coach. He doesn't have a head bigger than God. There is absolutely no way he would be stupid enough to deny Isiah of these orders, b/c he knows this would hurt any chance of landing a coaching job for any team in the future.

I think Isiah has been in a tough spot: he has to make it look like he's given Herb a fair chance to "win" the job. This means Herb has to be allowed to put "his" team on the floor. Obviously, this strategy has sort of blown up in everyone's face. I think Zeke should really come out and say that he won't count the last month of the season against Herb and Herb will be considered for the job and then privately tell Herb to play Ariza 40 minutes, Sweet 40 minutes and Butler 25-30 min. Sundov 25-30.

but I know he won't. Zeke is really bad at lying (witness the Chaney firing, when he doesn't want to tell the truth he doesn't say anything or else is so blatantly lying it's just sad - I guess he's learned to keep his mouth shut.)

give me a break. If Isiah asked him too he would play the young guys, plain and simple. If they lose Herb will sit in the post game and talk about what a good opportunity it is for the kids and thats what the GM asked him to accomplish.

What your seeing is just more evidence of how poorly this organization is run and how little anything has changed with new management

Unfortunatly your reasoning doesn't hold up in the court of common sense. If you boss asks you to do something...and you flat out refuse over and over again....guess what. Most likely you will be fired.

what if Isiah has had a conversation with Herb and it went something like this:

"Try to get as much time for Malik, Maurice, TT, & KT as I want to try to trade them over the summer. Ariza and Sweets don't need as much time because their untouchable and part of our future and core."

Regardless, Marbury is pretty dinged up and should be shut down- his playing at this point is not gaining anything.

showcasing guys is fine, even though they have been in the league for 7-10 years. If you want to inflate guy's numbers thats one thing. Fine. The only thing we are inflating playing Marbury 50 minutes is his chance of injury.

No matter how you look at it it just doesnt make sense from Isiah's perspective

I was trying to be respectful. You took the conversation to a lower level when you said "you don't have to be a genius to figure it out"

The rest of the debate is old stuff that we've been over before and is unnecessary to even comment on again.

I am going to have to start agreeing with you here, there is no reason why Butler, sundov, ariza and sweets should not be getting big minutes now, tonight these guys should get most of the minutes, IT needs to have herb shut it down, this is clearly his call if you ask me...
