Which team headed there also will you hate to see with a top 3 pick ahead of us?

Personally, Orlando (because they won last year), Minnesota (They have KG), the Lakers (Kobe) and Cleveland (Lebron) are the four teams I would hate to see finish in the top three. Utah is there too because they loaded up on free agent talent last summer like every Knick fan wished we could too.

Anyone but the Bobcats (expansion team, they deserve it) and New Orleans (have to throw them a bone at some point).
Anyone else is just taking one of our spots away if you ask me...

had we lost games against Cle and Indy we would have the 6 spot locked up and a good chance to move up to top 3. Right now we could just as easily be 9 which might get us the next Mike Sweetney

Herb's job is to win games. That means he's going to play his best players unless otherwise instructed to by someone.. say like the GENERAL MANAGER.

Only problem is, the youngins are better than some of the vets that he's been playing relentlessly.
Atleast he played the minute scheme better last night.

Even he has to agree that his chances of being the Knicks headcoach are like 2% right now. I don't have a problem with him trying to win if he would do it in a way that even if we lose, we win. Thats by playing the rooks.

You want to win a game? Ok, but play the rooks! If we lost, well, maybe it was because they are still young; at least you helped their improvement. Whats the point of trying to win a game playing the vets a lot of minutes at this point of our lost season? If you play the rooks and they lose the game, well, at least you tried playing the rooks. I hate when they win a game at this stage of the season and I see a DNP in the names of Ariza and Sweetney!

Play them! And if they lose, we win twice!

what's most frightening about last nights game is we're playing our 'best' and loosing to some god aweful teams- how will next year be different?

Is the 6th pick really lost? We would have to lose our last games and Milwaukee would have to win, right? Anyone knows about the Bucks' last games?

This year is already lost. If our team didn't want to play defense early in the season, they wont now. The best that can happen is for us to lose our remaining games and see what happens in the draft. Whatever with winning the last games and carry momentum for next season because we saw what last year's playoff run made for us this season.

Now, next year's team should be a much more improved one. If we come with the same team, Isiah should resign. The coach must change, the starting C too, the backup C too, the backup SG too, we should be younger and without some of the too many PFs we have. If at least the most important part of that list gets done, next year's results will not be like this one.

We'll see what happens...

completely agreed. I have to say, this total silence and total refusal to tank makes me think Briggs may be on to something about Zeke bailing. The last thing we need is to run a draft without someone in place as the leader of the organization. Last time we did that, we passed on Artest to take Weis.
