let's say Bogut, Williams & Paul go top 3 in the draft & the Knicks finish w/the #7 pick...Isiah then works out a draft day trade w/the Jazz for the rights to #4, who do you rather have at that point? Green or Taft?
Green
Taft

Draft Green and go after a big man with the second draft pick. Simple, unless if we endup with one of the first 3 picks....

If that were to happen I think Isiah draft Green too.

I was shotting on Green when someone posted those lame highlights of his game until I saw the re-play of the McDonalds all-american game, and slam dunk competition. I think the kid is gonna be similiar to Ray Allen. He's a smooth under control player with personality.

Next season will be our year. Isiah will draft very well, and most of all we should be able to win at least 50 games, that will only be if we hire the right coach who will play our youngins.

I would love to draft Green and trade for another pick in the 15-20 range and draft Petro, Frye, Andray or another Center prospect. Imagine how excited we would be about the Knicks on opening night!

The Key would be to trade KT for a pick. I bet Jeff Van Gundy would love to have Kurt Thomas. I almost gurantee that Houston would trade the Knicks a draft pick for KT.

only to have them on the bench as we lose a close game with our veteran's playing all the minutes.

Sorry... you know thats what will happen

this franchise has really never shown the commitment to youth so i wouldn't doubt it if all 3 picks are on IR this season. but if we draft a center, just because WE HAVE NO OTHER CENTERS, they may get some minutes. whatever the case, whomever we draft (#7 or below), we'll have to wait a little while on.

at this point, just using the pick and keeping it will be a major achievement by this organization.

oh there's no doubt in my mind lol

no j/k Isiah unlike Layden has shown that he will play rookies especially the ones he drafted like Ariza. Herb is the reason ariza and butler have been getting no burn lately and Isiah is doing what his crtics said he should do and that is but out and let the coach run the team and he wants it to be clear to the media that they have to find a better coach. We'll trade 1 or 2 of our current PF's for more pressing needs and the later picks will have their chance. I know for sure Green would play right away perhaps even start if he really impresses!

Green without question. I won't be pissed or anything if we end up with Taft after the draft is over because I like Chris and think that he wasn't used well at all last season. However, between these two I would definitely choose Green despite our need for a big man.

Isiah should coach this team or hire a guy like Silas or the guy from Seattle to take over this team. Either of those coaches will play the youngins

If Andreskevicius is available, he could be workable at # 4.

Then, if possible, trade Crawford and the #30 for pick # 8 from Golden State and draft Green.

Then trade KT for Minnesota's pick #14 and draft Petro.

Andreskevicius
Petro
Ariza
Green
Marbury

Curious lineup.

This is what we have been reduced to. Thats why I never get mad about us not picking Amare, Knicks would have never picked a high schooler. Maybe now after so many have become good players, but 3 years ago, no way.

Green because the draft is full of athletic pf's, the whole first round is virtually nothing but. How many freak athelete oversive 2 guards are there? 1.

The only scenario I want to count right now is winning the lottery and picking Bogut. if?when we lose the lottery, and we know where we pick and who is in after that, we can speculate. right now I just want to lose the last two and go with our 37 pongers to Seacacus

I voted for Taft, but if everything falls into place so that we can grab Green then grab Turiaf or Simien (I think at PF I would prefer Turiaf)and maybe package that 2nd round pick with Sweets to grab Petro or Taft if he drops....

Petro(Taft)
Turiaf
Ariza
Marbury/Craw/Green
