I actually like Z a lot on our team. Regardless of how slow he is, he's still one of the top centers in a league that doesn't have many real good centers. Bottom line is we won't be able to get a better basketball player at that position anywhere else. He blocks shots, rebounds, and is a very good post player, giving Marbury and Crawford a player to get the ball into. If we put athletic players around him, such as drafting Chris Taft or drafting Gerald Green and trading for someone like Kwame Brown, we would be just fine. They love Kurt Thomas, so we could send him along with either Tim Thomas or Penny Hardaway for Z and someone like Newble or Snow. I think it's a very good plan.
I agree with your post man. If we have Sweetney on one block and Illguaskus on the other, we can throw the ball into either one of them and end up with either another 2 points on the board or one of them on the foul line. Just having a quick guy that will run up and down the floor and block shots isnt good enough for this team. Guy's dont think of it as how can we match up defensively with other teams, look at it as how are other teams going to match up with us.

good posts I don't see how people think a team with a Battie, Hunter at center will go accomplish a lot and go far in the playoffs. It may be enough to get us a 1st round exit. Unless you have a great player like a Jordan, duncan you cant get away with a one dimensional center like that. the people saying Z will slow us down are are problably the same ones who wanted Ewing traded.
If we don't somehow land Bogut. I would love to sign Z but how is it possible?? he'll get a lot more than the MLE elsewhere. at least starting at $10mil. if Foyle got $9mil
much better than trading a pick for Kwame Brown or wasting 6mil on a mediocre bench player like a steven hunter
