jared jefferies is a shooting guard at 6'11, not sure if thats going to work, that is a horrible deal for washington, they would never do it

how is that a horrible deal? they're getting a double double guy for 2 guys who are averaging about the same combined, along w/a late 1st round pick...jefferies can do fine guarding smaller guys on the perimeter & can shoot the open J, so i'm not concerned about him playing backup to Crawford...you can also interchange Ariza there as well if that's what turns you on...the MAIN thing we need is DEFENSE...not another scorer.

JJ is not a SG, he is a SF......although I like the trade, but I would much rather trade for Kwame instead, because Kwame is big enough to play the Center position. He is now a ledgit 7'

what EXACTLY is the difference between kurt and etan again?

this is a completely lateral move.

lol...yeah, only difference being Etan's younger, 10 times more athletic, can run the floor & finish...otherwise, they're exactly the same...both are 6'9"

i'd rather trade for Kwame too...i'm just proposing an alternative in case they'd be open to this trade but not the Kwame trade.

at the end of the day - both will leave the same impact on the game and etan has a couple of more years on the deal.

etan's a good player but i'm not giving up a draft pick in this deal - even if we get jj in return.

I would trade Kurt of Etan...easily. Etan is stronger, more athletic, blocks shots and has more of a post game. At the other end he is less durable, doesnt hit jumpers like Kurt and is less proven. But we need the youth and shotblocking more. We have a guy in Malik Rose who can do what Kurt does.

We have a guy in Malik Rose who can do what Kurt does.

exactly...what we NEED is youth, athleticism, finishing ability & defense, all of which these 2 guys provide...what do you realistically expect to get out of that #30 pick? sure there are your Carlos Boozer's & Trevor Ariza's that fall in the draft every year, but what are the chances Isiah's going to get that guy? both Etan & JJ are talented enough that i do this deal w/o looking back...KT's purpose here has ended...it's time to move on...he would benefit a team like WAS that is on a cusp of contending in the Eastern Conference, not on a team like the Knicks that is rebuilding.

Washington really likes Etan and they have him signed long term at the MLE, which is less than Kurt gets. I don't know.

I think if we make a deal with WAS, it will be for Kwame. And it will involve our lotto.

maybe you're right...it was just an alternate plan...not my 1st choice...i'd do either & i'd be fine w/giving up the lottery pick as long as it's not a top 3 pick.

yeah, the more I think about it, I'd rather get him than Curry. But I just feel like we're better off trying to draft well. Though, he could blow up like Jermaine O'neal.
