He's an interesting prospect. Super athletic. He had a terrible year and I'm not sure where he will measure size wise. Some list him at 6'9, ESPN lists him at 6'11 250. If thats the case he's a very interesting prospect with the 30 pick. He hasnt hired an agent yet so its not a given he will stay in, but for now he is.

Its a loaded field:

I'm glad we moved Nazr and got the extra pick. I also hope it doesnt stop Zeke from going after yet another. Wining last night has probably doomed us to be stuck with the 9th pick and little to no chance of moving up. He can still start rebuilding this roster with young talent. At this point I'm willing to make sacrifices for style of play. If that means sending KT to Houston for Spoon and their #1 (I think its a steal for Hou) I do that and buy out Spoon, Penny and retire Houston. Send Malik and either our #2 this year or a #1 next year to the Mavs for Marquis Daniels. Try to get it done without the pick, but if include it if we have too.
That leaves us with
Marbury/Crawford
Marquis/Ariza
TT/JYD
Sweetney/Mo T
Butler
That would get us down to 9 guys assuming we resign "free first rounder" Jackie. 3 #1s rounds the roster out to 12. If we cant retire Houston then one of the kids goes to IR. If we could add Petro, Warrick and Francis to that frountcourt we could be on our way to establishing a team with size, great athleticism, youth and perimeter play makers

Yeah I remember we talked about this guy eartlier this year. If he's okay from his surgery he could well be a steal for someone.

And I like your restocking ideas. It is pretty funny to keep thinking of different ways to spend Dolan's money. Let's buy out all these bums!

I like Torin francis, I watched some ND games this year and at times he looked like a beast. He plays hard, and is athletic. I would not mind taking a look at him.

I really hope Zeke gets another first rounder. This is certainly a good year to have one. I like that Deji kid.

One question about our second rounder, I've heard we can promise someone we'll pick them and sign them to 3yr $3million deal with the MLE or something. I believe there isn't a scale for second rounders, so you can sign them to bigger deals. Is this correct? Does anyone know?

you can use the MLE to sign a 2nd rounder to something more than the scale. We signed Lampe to a 3 year $3mm deal.

Pretty sure you can do the same with the first rounders if you agree to a larger than rookie scale contract

I would only do such a deal if and only if we trade at least 3 or 4 of our PFs. Sweetney and Kurt can both earn us some draft picks...how many first round picks can a team have in a year?? is there a limit?

The key here is that francis plays big, and finishes, big...

but the fact still remains that he is a 6'9" PF. We have enough of the on our roster and we can't afford to keep on piling our roster with PFs. We need to draft big and I mean 6'11", 7'+

Just based on his write up he is definately worth a look at the very least. Says he used to be a post player than developed a perimeter game.

I definately don't think he is undersized at the P spot at 6-9 240...

We need a 6'11" or a true Center.....Forget about the PFs.....We can do without one, unless we can find a Ben Wallace

what we need is guys that fit a style of play. Francis does that. KT, Mo T and Sweetney dont.

Bottom line is we are a 30 win team. We have needs at every position. We have crap for a pipeline.
