Sorry, but hakim would make trevor look stupid, he's 10 times better. I think it would greatly help the team, we have a necessity to move away from KT.

As for Ty Chandler Chicago isnt trading him--would you? Why in the world would you trade Chandler? Maybe for pick 1

i should say, either Hakim or Channing Frye. If got Green Frye or Bogut frye or Bogut Hakim

and then move up the 2nd rounder and swipe Nate Robinson.

Briggs I think that is too steep, I like warrick and right now he is better than trevor and he is also about two years older. the thing with trevor is that he is so young and has so much potential, I don't think that over the long run this will be a good trade. Warrick is better now, but in 3 years I would love to see how trevor has developed and I want to see it in a knicks uni...

You really think Hakim will be available by pick 13?

this is where a creative GM with the unlimited resources Isiah has should be able to do better. Hakkim isnt Lebron James. If he wants him that bad he should be able to buy another pick (maybe from Tor) for $3mm and possibly use another $3mm to move up.. whatever.

Sounds like a lot but its not cap money and if we can spend $8mm to pay Vin Baker to be a nice supportive guy on the bench we should be able to swing that kind of cash to position ourselves for Warrick and Petro.

I agree...Hak will be 23 by the time he gets to the NBA.

thats the thing.. I dont think Warrick was anymore impressive than Ariza after 1 year. Warrick is a guy with a great work ethic that really improved his game over 4 years in school. Being way ahead of Ariza is just kind of status quo.

I like the idea of having both as we have seen Ariza defend 3 different positions, and I think that could be his calling in the NBA

Yeah, you move up (from #30) in the draft by using your unlimited funds. You definitely DON'T trade Ariza unless you get an outstanding offer. The idea is to keep Ariza and get more good young players too.

Also, that's why I've been saying all year that many people don't appreciate how impressive what Ariza's doing as a teenager in the NBA. I think very few all-stars or at least 2nd tier players in the NBA would have put up better than the 11/4 #s Ariza had as a starter (I think about 10 or 12 games) when they were in their teens. Ariza should have been a late lottery pick.
