no way i give up the lotto pick...i'd rather have a good shot at Bogut than take on Artest who can blow up at any second...if you can guarantee me that we won't be getting the top pick, then i might take the chance because Artest is a proven allstar, but it's still a huge risk.

cant trade the pick until after the fact! We can trade the player we draft, but not the pick. We can prearrange to pick for Indy if we can get what they want.

Bogut & Crawford for Artest? no.

Taft & Crawford for Artest? hmm, i'd have to think about that one

Anyone else & Crawford for Artest? maybe, but leaning towards I would do it.

Unless, it's Bogut + Crawford for Artest, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I don't know, because I see Crawford as a future all-star and the player wee could pick in the top 7 could be very good too. Getting artest still doesn't give us what we really need which is a real big man who can rebound and block shots, and score in the post, although Artest obviously makes us better on both sides of the court.

However, that would make it easy for us to trade Ariza and Sweetney in a nice package for our potential big. Now that makes it kind of interesting.

I'd make this trade in a second. Although, Bogut does promise to be another in a long line of dominent white lottery picks, like Darko and Van Horn.

I'd consider something like TT, Ariza and JYD our lotto pick and a future protected first for Artest, Pollard and Croshere and Indy's first rounder this year.

That'd amount to a swap of first rounders this year, so we'd get a pick somehwere in the 16-20 range and could take Channing Frye or someone else. Indy would get a lot of cap relief, a chance at getting a star in the lotto, a good young prospect in Ariza, and a solid role player. We'd get Artest and still have the opportunity to draft a solid young player this year. Pollard and Croshere could be rotation players depending on what we do with Sweetney/KT.

Oh and of course I wouldn't swap the lotto pick if we had a top 3 pick, and chance at Bogut...

I don't get why fans want Crawford traded. I like the kid and his game I would rather have another shooting guard to take the weight off him and not trade him.

I agree - Crawford's trade value has never been lower, might as well wait another year. He'd be a good sixth or seventh man for us next year, and eventually he'll play well enough for his trade value to rise and we can get something for him.
