of salary in the NBA according to RealGM.com. And they still can't make the playoffs! Also, look at their player rank versus their salary rank: Anfernee Hardaway- player rank 241 and salary rank 9.
Allan Houston- player rank 197 and salary rank 3. Tim Thomas player rank 177 and salary rank 24. Lastly, Stephon Marbury player rank 15 and salary rank 10.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

That's because the players on the team that are high paid are all washed up, except for Marbury

and he isn't a winner

I knew we had some bad contracts, I just didn't know they were this bad. My God! No wonder Phoenix gave us Marbury, Penny's contract was worse than Marbury's! Who else but the Knicks would have bitten on that one? TT was given that money by Ernie Grunfeld when it appeared he would break out after a good playoff series with the Bucks when they almost beat Indiana in a 5 game series in the first round. And Houston never merited those numbers, and certainly not for as many years as he was given. These guys have some agents.
